Twist, twist away. PASSED on Lue because of years/money. CP3 was traded for until other teams came crying to the commish. Never said the Clippers shouldn't pursue anybody.

Regardless, I thank the Clippers for all of their efforts to save the Lakers from themselves. That's what little brothers/tenants are for! :D

OMG.

Stop pretending the Lakers were victimized in the CP3 trade.

Most homer take out there.

The league screwed up in many ways there. But that was a horrendous trade for the Pelicans who were being run by the league office.

Absolutely heinous.

And you should be thankful, because had it not gone down like that, the Lakers don’t eventually end up with AD and the 2020 title.

I mean, seems like using your assets for a minimal upgrade vs filling a Grand Canyon sized hole (pf)

2 different trades lol

Tyler Herro wont be traded for an avg 4.

He would be included for Beal

I mean the league screwed up. They didn’t want a league owned team tanking but then realized they couldn’t let them trade with the lakers

They also could’ve flipped odom and Kevin Martin into firsts (as they were later done)

They were ahead of eveyone on dragic

The nba never should’ve stepped in.

They told eveyone demps had authority to make a trade.

It wouldn’t shock me if that first trade outperformed the second since Gordon was one of the key pieces

Simmons fits Toronto pretty well.

Exactly what they want defenisvely.

but they need to trade Fred if they do this.

Simmons needs to be on the ball, playing him off the ball hasn't worked.

@shopson67 back to back 40 point games by Cam Thomas? He on pace for another one.

LOL.
And? Another opportunity for him to take all the shots. Won't happen once Durant and the traded for players are in place.

Yeah just play Simmons as PG. You have Barnes and maybe you keep OG. Build around those 3 and look to acquire a star not a bad plan eventually

Nets get:
Siakam and OG

Raptors get:
Simmons
Claxton
Cam Thomas
Curry
2 1st’s

Would Toronto do this?

No way.

First off, Gordon was in the trade that went down, not the one that didn’t.

And most importantly, it allowed the team to bottom out and draft Anthony Davis.

And besides, the trade was 12 years ago. Why are Laker fans still mad about it?

Ridiculous.

Yes, and Gordon in it aged poorly

The league set up a Chinese wall and tore it down the second a laker trade went through

It was a terrible look

The terrible look was the league controlling the team
In the first place. Should have never happened.

And a 35 - 40 win roster led by vets is far less intriguing to a respective buyer than 2 high lotto picks and a lotto talent.

What Gordon and Dragic became is irrelevant. What matters was their value at the time and Gordon had a lot.

And he was a pretty good player.

Giving the new owner Davis (when they weren’t close to the worst team in the league) was the shady part so that part is most irrelevant

Whatever man.

No team wants to be in NBA purgatory.

That is precisely where the Laker/Rocket trade was landing NO.

And the worst team rarely wins the lottery.
