Reaves has been a pleasant surprise and may be a solid replacement for Caruso one day.

They got a player in Reaves cheaper and saw that he could develop into what Caruso is. And he may have a higher ceiling.

He is okay but he still can develop into a Caruso type. One has been in the League for barely 2 seasons and the other 6.

Huge difference.

He will never be a good defender but I mean that's who he is. As long as the effort is there and he continues to improve his offensive game. Right now, he is nothing more than a decent bench player.

Not a chance. This is just a lazy white guy is a white guy comparison. This dude doesn’t have Caruso’s feet or instincts. Caruso impacts games with his on ball and off ball defense. Reaves is a liability defensively. If the Lakers get into playoff games with him playing a key role in the rotation, every trip is going to be a clear out and they play Where’s Waldo with Reaves and continue to work him on every possession.

He may not be Caruso, but I think you're on the opposite side of the white guy trope, assuming he can't defend. Will he be known as a defender? No, but he can get the job done. He was the victim of a few ref-ignored push offs by Booker last night.

No, you said Reaves was a garbage player.

One of my biggest pet peaves is when I bring something up with someone, using their exact phrasing that they previously used, and they say why are you saying that?
