I don't know what you're talking about
Haha...guess to be fair you did say never win a title not contend.

Good as we might look for the now and future, winning a title - while looking far more likely than it did a couple years ago - wont be easy at all. Figure the core of this group has, what, maybe 5-7 years? Perhaps a bit more depending on what Gilbert will spend and if guys want to stay? Not sure I'd bet on winning it if I had to bet an amount I cared about.

But for sure they have a good shot.

Yeah if Pat Bev can't make a difference defensively as this point he is pretty useless.

They had to put Reaves on Mitchell...Mitchell was torching anyone but if Pat Bev was an elite defender like he has been in the past he could have done something. No answer and Reaves definitely wasn't the answer
And the way he was playing could even just credit Mitchell and not blame the D. some guys when they are on like that just are not going to be stopped.

Lowry. They can make little moves to improve the bench

Lowry isn’t expiring and what other contender needs a pg

Plus isn’t he like best buds with butler?

DeMar isn't a perfect fit but the only issue for the Laker here is matching the salary. You give up a 1st for DeMar for those guys without a doubt imo. Russ has been a better fit on the bench.

I mean obviously the better deal is giving up Russ for Vuc and DeMar even if you give up both picks. Vuc can spread the floor and AD stays at the 4. DeMar does not spread the floor but a shot maker and another guy that can close out unlike Russ.

The problem here is the fit issue with the Lakers.

Russ and LeBron is a chemistry nightmare because they both need the ball to do their thing.

DeRozan is also ball dominant and not a good catch and shoot player.

I don’t believe adding DeRozan while keeping Russ will solve any the Lakers problems.

Heat struggling and in need of a win....decided rest lowry tonight lol and this is with Gabe already out

Btw @Mecca George looks like a go. Not on the 130 pm injury report
L for us unless Wall and Kennard go ham.

Bam will have both Zu and Brown with 4 fouls at the half.

And really...

Mann is 26 fucking years old with no injury history.

The fuck he sitting out for?

I don't care what y'all say.

That Dude that's been stealing millions from the Clippers is not right.

Let Kawhi and his trash ass play sit.

But, Mann?

....and when did Powell get hurt.

He sure was fine when he was burning down the nets against the Blazers.

For the Clippers, Kawhi Leonard, Terance Mann, Norman Powell, Jason Preston, and Moussa Diabate are all out

Ewwwwww....

Even if it's untrue, the stench of this will never leave him.

Yikes.

Let's wait and see how the Dubs organization decides to handle this.

But yeah..that's not good for anyone.

Good luck. Have a similar issue in Tobias Harris. Both guys are bad contracts.
what was the real story on not keeping Butler? Did he simply want out and nothing Philly could do? Did they ultimately choose Harris instead? something else?

Yeah this story has been out for a while. I just assume the Warriors must have done their due diligence on this situation. Either way, yeah, it's not ideal.

I also don’t believe it is very realistic tbh

Barkley agrees

They don't need to blow it up. I'm just saying that if they get to the end of January and they are still struggling (from injuries or whatever), this specific year it would likely be better to tank than to push for the playoffs. By then if they haven't turned it around, it's unlikely they'll get it together enough to actually be a true title contender. I'd rather take a chance at Wembanyama or Scoot than push for a 1st or 2nd round exit. Having one of those two young studs with Herro, Bam, and Butler is pretty enticing. And the draft is loaded with good talent anyway. Miami typically drafts pretty well, at the very least they develop players extremely well, so even if they miss out on the top 2, I'd be confident with whoever they draft.

I think it would be a bad choice for Miami to blow it up and honestly, makes no sense

Word is that Simmons wanted Butler out and they chose Simmons over Butler.

whoops. Though from what little I know of the personalities of each I would think more likely Butler did not want to play with Simmons. ...or at least feeling mutual.
