I'm not blaming it all on him. But he's not playing "well" either. He picks and chooses his spots in a game, making his numbers look good, but he's not actually playing as part of a team.

I was actually a little bit surprised at the extension too (though not much, like all young player extensions, they are mostly formality). With Moody, Kuminga, and Wiseman progressing and with Curry,Thompson, and Wiggins still there, Poole becomes a bit redundant. But extending him, you can keep him for longer and can trade him for more spare pieces later if need be.
