It astonishes me that these two asshats play in Brooklyn of all fucking places and are being this ignorant.

I can't even put into words how messed up things are with the Nets right now. Dysfunction is a good word to describe things with that organization.

It’s not

But keep going with your projection
It is what it is and so are you.

Again : I'm self aware enough to know I'm a bit of a asshole know it all, who gets shit wrong as much as I get them right.

But, unlike you....

I don't double and triple down on the debunked stupidity and have no issue admitting when I'm wrong.

This is an age old tale. You take two groups who have been placed on the margins who have been treated like shit in different times in their cultural history and you pit them against each other convincing each that the other is their enemy. Yet the real drivers of prejudice bigotry racism and discrimination hide in the shadows delighting from a far at what they’ve been able to do to those groups on the margins.

Slightly different but with similarities: Northern Ireland. The British crown knew when colonialism was dying that they couldn’t hold Ireland forever. So they took advantage of the only real natural resource heavy of Ireland…the North. People look at the Troubles in Northern Ireland today as being driven by religious hatred Catholics vs Protestants. Yet at the roots of the conflict is that the British spent years steering Loyalist Protestant Irish to the North so that it would seem like they wanted to be a part of Britain.

Why in GAWDS name are we having a dick measuring contest using multi generational trauma?

He's talking about the aggregated quote of LeBron saying when he was younger he wanted fuck all to do with white folks.

LeBron did say this.

The problem is, he chooses to ignore the 2 nd part of the quote because it doesn't fit his narrative.

Here is the full statement so you can judge for yourself.

"I went to an all-white Catholic high school. So, when I first went to the ninth grade in high school, I was also like, I'm not ****ing with white people. I was so institutionalized growing up in the hood, it was like, 'they don't ***k with us, they don't want us to succeed,"

"I'm going to this school to play ball and that's it. I don't want nothing to do with white people. I don't believe that they want anything to do with me. It's me and my boys, we going to high school together, we're here to hoop,"

"Sport and basketball, it's the most unifying thing. By the end of the year, all of us were best friends. Our black friends from the hood was coming (to play), his white friends ... and we were just all having a ****ing great time,"

Q doesn't understand anything. LeBron grew up in some of the roughest projects in the city. White people rarely did him, his family or his close friends any real favors.

His first reactions to mostly white & private St. V's were completely understandable.

I've known about his comments and I have no problems with them at all. And neither should anyone else. The people that have an issue with what he said are just looking for any reason to have a problem with him.

He's obviously moved on, progressed and evolved....and he's also shown a bit of contrition and humility, which does go a long way into maturing as an adult, and realizing and understanding some missteps & mistakes that were made earlier in ones life.

I don’t know but if we are doing that I’m Irish. Some have had it worse than our people but not a lot. The Irish have been shit on pretty good through the centuries.

People tend to carry certain burdens or gripes with them for a plethora of reasons.
That's just human nature. Everyone has problems. How you deal with it is the tell.
Blaming others for your own personal shortcomings and issues, or stigmatizing groups of folks via prejudice/racist tropes is inherently wrong and counterproductive and should always be called out for the hate and ignorance that it is.

My only gripe is without any evidence I'm pretty damn sure the Lakers stoldeded titles in '85, '87 and '10.

Holy moly what's going on, is it just rest?

Time for Cedi to go off for 50 tonight.
Garland and Mitchell both had some minor injuries vs Boston. Precautionary I’m sure, not just rest. Mitchell turned his ankle pretty good, Garland tweaked something

I remember Mitchell turning his ankle now that you mention it but kinda forgot about it. I've watched every Cavs game so far this season.

I really like league pass. When Boston & Cleveland are playing at the same time I DVR the Cavs game and watch it after the Celtics game.
