Just ran out of time to realistically move into the top 4.

Still had a chance to make the playoffs outright.

That Houston game is what fucked them.

You could predict they’d lose to the Clippers, no shame in that.

But, sitting Davis in that game was the difference In finishing 7th.

Honestly while the Kings will be a less tough opponent than the Suns, they are not even close to a gimme. Might even be favored. We still don't know how the Ws will look on the road in games that matter vs teams that are hungry. That's what makes it fun.

It'd be fun to see the Lakers beat Memphis and the Warriors beat Sacto. 2nd round playoff matchup, Warriors with home court. Probably a great 7 game series.

Yes and no.

As far as being able to get into the top 4 or 5...it was too late.

But it would have cost them more if they had done it sooner.

I'm kind of mixed about it.

On the one hand, I'd feel a whole lot better about their chances of winning the WC if they'd have done it sooner...

On the other hand, that 1st rounder could come in handy if they need to make a trade to help the team in the off season.
