Its Inexcusable to have that kind of size in the women's game and not try harder.

Harden at least doesn't really project to be an elite defender anyway.

Neither does Clark.

On strength alone I would say Harden is closer to being a plus athlete compared to his peers.

But still. No excuse for anyone to coast defensively. Even when you play every second.

I think I just saw tlance criticizing them so that means something lol

At first glance 19 fouls isn't extreme for a college game. But I'm hearing most of it was on Iowa best players early on

It wasn’t one sided. LSU got more whistles because they attacked the paint more.

It was just too much.

And the T on Clark was awful soft. And basically ended the game in the 3rd quarter.

I'd rather we use the means we always have

College

It works! And the guys who actually played 2 and 3 years in the 90s had just as long careers (if not longer)

AAU certainly has these kids further along as HS products so if they are that good then by all means go pro.

If they aren't then don't use Duke as a means to propel you to a semester of school you didn't want to sit through.

2 years helps both ends of the deal

But alas.... not to be and probably never will be

Oh no.

AAU doesn’t deserve credit for anything.

Honestly had done more harm than good in many ways.

Additional wear and tear on young players, and any league where more time is spent in game action than on a practice court is detrimental to development.

Talking about back to backs in the NBA, Playing 8 games in 72 hours isn’t good for anybody.

He's right. But Boban can stay. Tiny high five!

Charles Barkley doesn’t decide who lands commercials. Neither do the NBA or the WNBA.

Businesses hire players who can help them grow their brand.

WNBA doesn’t have the following to do that unfortunately.

I see woke as overly ridiculous about everything whereas PC is more reasonable
I hear ya, dude. :thumb:

Actually, I see both as just different terms merely used to describe a group or someone as being aware, well informed or knowledgeable, and not factually incorrect, dismissive or ignorant regarding any particular topic, event or situation.

But I digress....

I got UConn tomorrow over San Diego St for the NCAA chip.
Just hope it'll be well officiated, and evenly.

I guess I'm saying in terms of competing against other high level players.

These young kids are definitely more skilled and ready than the 18 and 19 year olds from 25 and 30 years ago

But they aren't Grant Hill with his tenure at Duke ready.

Somewhere in the middle.

Agreed that the circuit is a net negative overall though.

Nope that's why i do my Bill Burr bit on the WNBA

Women gotta support that brand like they support the Kardashians.

To me that is the evolution of the game. People get better at things over time by studying and improving on training and techniques from past players.

But man, that AAU culture is broken. And it is leading to 22 year olds trying to get their NBA careers going with broken bodies.

People see guys missing all this time and they want to assume that they don’t want to play.

Might be true for a couple.

But more likely AAU is the real culprit.

So much wear and tear at such a young age. And unlike playing pick up for 3 hours at the local rec like we all did, you warm up and play all out, then cool off and do it again 4 hours later.

Can’t be healthy.
