I'm just here to troll everyone
Yep. Bad trade deadline for us.Oh joy, a shortstop with a .712 OPS who plays his home games in Coors Field. Just what the team needs.

Coulda used either here of course.
I understand that depth is different for each team. I wasn't comparing our rankings to previous years. Not even trying to make straight comparisons. Just trying to illustrate how that trade would have looked for us had the Giants traded off the same ranked prospects.Ok, than I was attacking you. LOL
All teams have their own farm depths. Our #15 prospect 5 years ago does NOT equate to our #15 prospect now. We have a MUCH deeper farm now than we had then. Trying to compare the two is a fools errand.
Comparing our top prospect 5 years ago (Beede?) to our top prospect now (Luciano) doesn’t make sense either. Beede was our top prospect more because our farm was somewhat light. Beede was a legit prospect, sure, but he was no Luciano.
If the guy cannot figure out how to hit this year in Coors, how in the world is he going to figure it out in SF, while playing a new position, with the guy who "helped" Tauchman?Yep. Bad trade deadline for us.
Also we don't need more hittingIf the guy cannot figure out how to hit this year in Coors, how in the world is he going to figure it out in SF, while playing a new position, with the guy who "helped" Tauchman?
Yes, but it we get a hitter, how about one who hits and has actually played in the outfield this year? Also we don't need more hitting
Sure. Not needed even then. When all our injured guys come back we don't really have room in the outfield anyway.Yes, but it we get a hitter, how about one who hits and has actually played in the outfield this year?
Didn’t he hit well here tho? Not quite Goldschmidt, but I remember him hitting HR’s here.If the guy cannot figure out how to hit this year in Coors, how in the world is he going to figure it out in SF, while playing a new position, with the guy who "helped" Tauchman?
He's hit 3 at Oracle, in 173 at-bats.Didn’t he hit well here tho? Not quite Goldschmidt, but I remember him hitting HR’s here.
not that I want him.
I mean, we don't have him yet so fingers crossed we never doStory's career road slash - .242/.310/.437
And at Oracle Park - .249/.309/.341
This is disappointing unless Bryant is a beast in the playoffs and we win the World Series (and/or he signs a team friendly extension and continues to do well).Bryant is official. Rumors are we gave up Bart and Wade
FZ is no longer my BFFBryant is official. Rumors are we gave up Bart and Wade
Some truth here but lefty platoon guys start 2/3 of the time...just like Posey. You gotta figure they think they can resign him if they gave up that package.
Wade is a lefty beast, but he is purely a platoon player at this point.
The reports about Longo have worried me, though. I fear we may not see him again this year, or only get him at 70% or so.Some truth here but lefty platoon guys start 2/3 of the time...just like Posey.
It's not that we gave up Wade, Bryant is an upgrade there. It's losing Bart for a position we don't need. If we're gonna lose Bart, get a closer.
