Here's another roster projrction. You won't agree or like - at least you shouldn't

It does illustrate how hard it is going to be to watch the cuts.

Here is the non-invisible version!

I don't know who Cox is. Never heard of him.

My first impression? He doesn't have a clue.

He whittles away and says he's not sure why he's writing something but it makes for clicks.

Simple thing.....Bill Belichick has NEVER opened a season without one fullback on the roster. He has a reason, maybe three why he always has a bull to let roam the china shop.

Then to say that he'd keep Brandon Bolden rather than a more versatile player again makes me think he hasn't been around the Patriots very long. BB doesn't keep very many one trick ponies. Slater can play WR as well as CB in an extreme pinch.

I think he should have waited unti August 13. The day after the first preseason game against the Washouts.

Like most, I have been on the Meyers band wagon since it first rolled into Foxboro.
I have also been pulling for Wilkerson since this time last year when we snagged him after the Titans let him walk (I think...)

EDIT: I looked it up, he made it to final roster cuts with the Titans last year.

I posted snap counts in the Wasnington Whatevers thread.
You'll notice a lot of our "invisible" wide receivers played. I never saw them of course, since they were invisible!

I have to go watch the game again. How much of that was by design? You can only throw one pass downfield each snap. Was Josh calling plays for Wilkerson? Has Wilkerson found a rapport with Jones and Hoyer. Is he their binkie? What coverages did Wilkerson beat and against what level of player?

Not putting down Wilkerson's outstanding day. I just want to go back and see those things.

Maybe he's the new Chris Hogan/7-11? Always open?

Too many receiver issues to list.
That said, cutting receivers is going to be easier than expected!

Well if NE keeps four WRs + Slater you're right. Just not sure how long you could stash Wilkerson, Zuber or Gunner on a PS?

Could NE use any of them in a trade?

Does someone magically start the year on the IR?

The cuts will happen. I just don't see it as easy. Those three are all nice complimentary #3 or #4s and STs players.

No matter how hard I try, I'm keeping 54. Someone is going on the short term IR and will get activated when the eventual injury occurs.
