does your google only allow you to see the games you think were bad but not his many exceptional games where he was the main reason his team won?
You would have a point if there weren’t article after article available.

The stats do not support these articles. He's not MJ or Lebron but to say "disappear" would tell me the writer already has a bias.

I get he had a bad few games in the Miami series but let's not make it out like he was the make or break. He was third best player on the team.

The Spurs series is a legit criticism but his overall stats are not substantially worse as those articles would indicate
Yep...and let's not forget Lebron crapped the bed in that Dallas series in the Finals.

I guess he's just not that great.

James Harden playoffs numbers SERIES BY SERIES since leaving OKC

2013 & 2014 1st round
26,7, & 4 on about 40% shooting in 2013. 2014 was very similar as he was at 27,6, & 5 on 39% shooting. Not great but doesn't fall under disappearing act.

2015
1st round- 28,8, & 4 on 44.5 % from the field
2nd round- 25, 8, & 6 on 41% shooting
Conference finals- 28,8, & 6 on 43% shooting. Did struggle in games 3 and 5.

2016
1st round- 27,8, & 5 on 40% shooting

2017
1st round- 33, 7, & 6 on 41% shooting
2nd round (the spurs series)- 24.5 PPG, 10, & 5 on 39% shooting. 10 points in the deciding game 7 which the Spurs won by 39. Should be noted that he put 43,28, & 33 in the games 4-6 of this series. Bad series but not horrible. People just look at game 7 and criticize.

2018
1st round- 29,7, & 5 on 39% shooting
2nd round-28,7, & 5 on 40% shooting
Conference finals-29,6, & 6 on 41% shooting

2019
1st round- 28,8, & 7 on 37% shooting
2nd round- 35,5, & 7 on 46% shooting. This was the series when KD went down. My one beef with Harden was he wasn't aggressive in the 4th of that game 5 when the series was there for them

2020
1st round- 30,8, & 6 on 46% shooting
2nd round-29,7, & 5 on 47% shooting

These are the numbers of the man who allegedly doesn't care and disappear in the playoffs. This year we're going to see the best version of Harden in the playoffs because teams can no longer lock in on him as we saw the Lakers do last year.

OK...you were being sarcastic. How did I miss that? That's on me.

How am I being sarcastic? By mentioning three different articles from different years about Harden's playoff issues?

I have a point because his good games outweigh the bad. Is there something with a dropdown where you can turn off the "only show bad games/articles of James Harden"

LeBron has already won it all multiple times. What has Harden won? Bad comparison.

I realize you just want to disagree and that's cool. OK, I'll just say I don't know where you were trying to go with those 3 articles. Trying to take the side for Harden? Against? argue against both sides?

FYI, my comment to which you just replied was my admitting I was wrong in my first comment. Maybe I wasn't.

Harden is not on Lebrons level either. But to state he disappears would indicate he does less than he normally does. He provides very similar to what he provides in the regular season

The issue is people expect the superstars to take it to another level in the playoffs which I agree with. If he had said Harden doesn't take his game to another level in the playoffs then I would agree but you can't say he disappears in the playoffs. Simply isn't true

I'd agree that he isn't a next level playoff performer

Which side? I think it's obvious. There's a history of him disappearing in some big playoff games. You wanna disagree I really don't care. Thought those articles made that clear. But you only mentioned 2012. Not the two more recent articles.

And this was you admitting you were wrong? Or whatever you wanna call it so you try to keep this going.

OK...you were being sarcastic. How did I miss that? That's on me.

Alrighty then.

and that's the point.....even the elite of the elite can have a bad series or game.

But he's had some bad games in big situations on multiple occasions. I'm not saying he isn't a good playoff performer. Players are judged by playoff success right? He hasn't had much.

NY Bricks are going to be a tough out in the playoffs with their defensive style.

Your next comment made it clear when you correctly pointed out these were bad games AND they were, what, 9 years apart?

I wont give you benefit of doubt again. You actually meant that. Ya gotta love this forum.
