They will not have HCA in round 1 and yes it will most likely. No need for the Hawks to play as they're locked into the 5 seed now
I guess I did see a ton of their guys out....might avoid them altogether. Don't want to make the mistake some do (and I have) by playing bad players who wont produce simply because they are starting or getting a lot more minutes than usual.

And I said he had bad games/quarters but what we're not going to do is act like he is a disappearing act for an entire series.

The problem is that his bad quarters and late disappearing acts have cost his team playoff series.

His playoffs numbers are fine. As I said before he doesn't take his game to the next level but he performs basically how he does in the regular season.

So he's a good player who chokes when it really matters.

I never said he was a playoffs stud but this narrative that he always disappears is a lie

No it isn't. He has disappeared numerous times. Like I said, if he puts up good numbers all game long, then shits the bed when it matters the most, he's not a good playoff performer.

Just trying to figure out why we expected Harden and that Rockets team to beat the Warriors. Houston never had a championship caliber roster IMO. They had a roster capable of deep playoffs run but that's it

It's not just about not getting past the Warriors. It's his entire playoff resume.

depends.....sure, if he scores his 30-35 points by going 11-35 then I agree. But if he was at least somewhat efficient AND added 8-12 assists? Because he missed a shot or 2 late he's the reason his team lost the 48 minute game?

Does this work the other way, too? If he scores 11-15 points on a miserable shooting game with only a couple assists and 9 TOs but makes a late shot did he have a great game?

Harden is a classic example of why superteams are created.

The guy never had a championship roster in Houston and ended up losing to the best team in basketball several times in the playoffs but gets criticized for lack of playoffs success.

It is the reason why I think Dame is on another team in 2 years or so

Memphis came to play. They're in playoffs mode while Warriors are in regular season mode

He has been known to disappear. If he missed a shot or 2 and he only took a couple of shots when this team needed him most yes, that's on him. Just as it is if he goes 2 for 10 down the stretch. He's paid the money he's paid because his team is supposed to be able to depend on him down the stretch.

Does this work the other way, too? If he scores 11-15 points on a miserable shooting game with only a couple assists and 9 TOs but makes a late shot did he have a great game?

No, it wouldn't be a good game. But he would have come up big when his team needed him. Which is a lot better than him scoring 30 and his team losing because he shit the bed down the stretch.

That's not what he's being criticized for, stop lying.

He's being criticized for coming up small when his team needs him the most. You've said the same thing about him. You just like arguing with @thunderc

yup. My criticism comes from how his game works, especially from the offensive end...

I can respect that but if I can count on one hand how many games he disappeared from in a BEST OF 7 SERIES over the last 5 years or so then it clearly doesn't happen much as certain people on here like to make it seem.

People confuse poor shooting games with disappearing act. Don't have time to argue with those silly people.

Disappearing act is what Harden did in game 7 vs the Spurs in 2017 and 4th quarter of game 5 vs the Warriors in 2019
