Hakeem over Kareem?

Yep. This isn't the real reason I picked Hakeem. But the thought of two fuckin' Lakers in my starting five just makes me nauseous. :heh:

But I also have at least one more Laker in my next five. Just ain't right. Having to use common sense and not leave Lakers off any list is a tough thing to do. Can they stop having so many great players? That would be nice.

Can't go wrong with KAJ obviously. I guess the reason I went with Hakeem is I saw his entire career. KAJ's really dominant years I'm not old enough to remember.

I mean.... I wouldn't have blamed you if you had picked Bill Russell.... :noidea:

Problem with the Cavs is nobody will go to them in free agency. At least not a top 5 caliber player. They have to build through the draft and pray a once-in-a-lifetime player shows up again.
No disagreement....but DJ seems to think praying for a top draft pick here is nuts but it's OK for Detroit. Maybe he thinks a lot of FAs have Detroit high on their list?

TWolves and Pistons play tonight, only game left between the teams in question
They all seem to have tough gales left and really could all lose out (other than MN/Detroit playing each other).

Kobe is the 2nd greatest SG of all time. Is it a "miles wide gap"? No.

But it is a sizeable one. Possibly bigger than the gap between #1 and #2 at almost any other position.

And that's not a sleight on Kobe...it just shows how big the elephant Kobe was trying to bag, actually was.
Kobe isn't that far behind MJ.....even MJ admitted it.

Yep. Here are their career stats.

MJ: 30.1 ppg (best all time), 6.2 reb's, 5.3 asts, 2.3 stls / 49.7% FG / 10 scoring titles / 3x led league in stls / ROY / DPOY / 5x league MVP / 6x Finals MVP

Kobe: 25.0 ppg (# 13 all time), 5.2 rebs, 4.7 asts, 1.4 stls / 44.7% FG / 2 scoring titles / never led the league in stls / no ROY award / no DPOY award / one league MVP / 2 Finals mvp's

Kobe's the closest to MJ. But the numbers show it really isn't that close.
was gonna agree miles behind seemed like hyperbole but you make a strong case here.

Kobe's game was the closest to MJ's. But even then he was still miles behind His Airness. Shows just how great # 23 really was.
LOL at miles behind. Even MJ doesn't believe that......LOL.

Oh I’m pretty confident they will all lose out.

too lazy to look, but while I am sure they just split all the lotto combos if tied what happens for placement purposes? Meaning, who goes into the 2nd spot, 3rd, etc.? That matters as 2nd can be no worse than 6th, etc.

I'm guessing a bunch of coin flips.

No I believe each will get the same averaged number of ping pong balls based on how many spots there is a tie for. Same as how they break ties for prize money in golf tournaments.
