Boston is fucked.
Plus it's not like any of the core guys can go anywhere for quite some time.Oh, I know. Just didn't see how it was pertinent to what we were discussing. Yeah, I'm gonna have to read that article. I vaguely remember there being some mention of him and Embiid not exactly being friends awhile back, but that's it.
Yeah, until someone puts their name on it, it's hard to see it as any kind of a serious problem. More of a "wait and see if anything else comes out" type of issue.
what we realize is we don't know how much effort was made. we know they made a huge trade then a number of other trades after it to try and get better. We know they went just as far as the previous season AND had a high pick they could use to improve. What is hilarious is that you and many other Cleveland fans don’t even care that Gilbert didn’t put forth any real effort to maximize the roster and retain LeBron.
I never once said it would have worked. All I have said is that if maximizing their assets would have increased any chance of LeBron staying, they should have done it.
Because what you see now is what you will likely get for a long, long time.
So much better to strike out swinging then on a called 3rd strike. That is basically what the Cavs did in this scenario.
And are okay with it. Awesome.
You got a deal that could have been made that was turned down, please feel free to let me know. Then I can tell you if they screwed up by not making it.
cannot really disagree with any of that. and does anyone really think Lebron would not understand the value of having what looked like a top 3 pick at the time of the trade deadline?Eh
They tried minus flipping that 1st round pick they got for Kyrie. I doubt most saw that Isiah was going to be THAT bad. But sure it was basically a bunch of spare parts to try and make a run.
That first round pick could've netted them a better asset. But that was also their first step at rebuild if Lebron left. Re- signing Love was dumb AF not that that has anything to do with our current discussion
They did have such a deal....and the first one who would not make it was Griffin because Lebron would not commit. Was not for the pick he is mentioning, though, as they didn't even have that pick yet.Didn't they have a deal in place for PG or someone that they didn't pursue any further because Lebron wouldn't commit?
Minnesota can get in there, too.they are tied with 4 teams with 21 wins........Houston of course is #1......but Detroit, OKC, Clev, Orlando would all share the odds at #2 i guess if they all lose out.
PLEASE lose out CLe.
You said there was nothing they could have done to beat GS. So we were gonna make the fake deal you said could be made, lose to GS and Lebron was gonna say, "that's cool....you tried so let's just run it back with the same crew and I'll stay (since they had no cap room nor anything but a late pick to try and improve)."That was the 1 piece they had to include to land any type of difference maker though. And they shouldn’t have made that first step until LeBron was officially gone. An eye toward the future essentially assured that he had to leave.
And resigning Love has a lot to do with it. It proves that Cleveland was not intentionally tanking.
Cavs, too....but you always add laughing emojis when that is mentioned. Weird.Add a top 3 player and they'll have something to build around.

TWolves and Pistons play tonight, only game left between the teams in questionMinnesota can get in there, too.
I realize they share combos if tied, but what do they do about which position the teams are in? Guessing they flip a coin (or flip coins).
No way he ever deletes that, Kobe was basically his little brother![]()
Jordan can't bring himself to delete Kobe from his phone
