Probably need to buy him out
Glad they didn't overturn that foul. Luka jumps forward into defenders on threes all the time and gets the call.
Sources: Rockets' Oladipo turns down 2-year deal
Victor Oladipo recently turned down a two-year, $45.2 million extension from the Rockets as he continues to pursue a longer-term deal, sources told ESPN.www.espn.com
LOL read more of my posts. That was obvious sarcasm.Seems weird to suggest buying him out while he's leading the league in assists in Feb? His presence is very important to the team.
Not everyone is a 3 pt shooter. He used to get much better looks when that team had better spacing when fully healthy.
Surprised the lakers without AD and lebron not scoring 20 absolutely took apart GSW
Green is a fraud He is an average nba power forward Some nights maybe he’s above and some nights below
he’s facing Morris and Kuzma and shits all over himself
how many teams start a better power forward? At LEAST half the teams in the nba
Dennis Rodman was winnin dpoy at the age green is now And he wasn’t shooting sub 40% from the field
one if the worst contracts in the nba
So, two wrongs...? Does he jump forward leading with his elbow into the face of the defender? That definitely deserved a review, and the elbow should've brought the review without a challenge being required IMO. If they're going to review players for flagrants when a jump shooter comes down on a defenders' foot from the side, an elbow to the face should get one too.
They reviewed it and upheld the defensive foul. I'm not sure I really like the rule that an offensive player can jump into the defender, but the officials called it correctly. Any time a defender is jumping towards the shooter instead of going straight up, that's how they will call it.
The replay headquarters also explained that the elbow wasn't a foul because Curry was just going into his shooting motion and not flaring his elbow.
Schroder wasn't jumping towards the shooter.
Interesting question on Dan Patrick this morning...
If the Warriors were given the chance to re-draft...do they take LaMelo or stick with Wiseman?
I would think that they would take LaMelo. Wolves probably would, too. LaMelo looks like the surest thing, especially since he is already playing at a high level. It's going to take some time for Wiseman, and he might not even get to a high level of play.
They must've ruled that he was even after review. He surely didn't jump up straight and down.
Yeah, it's an interesting question because it's not like Wiseman is playing poorly and he provides the Warriors some of the size they lack. So I doubt the Warriors are unhappy with him in any way.
But, LaMelo looks like he might be special. Plus, his style seems like it would fit the Warriors well.
I don't know if they rule verticality on jump shots. The contact was clearly initiated by Curry, who was several feet inside the arc by the time he released the shot.
Seems like the refs do look at verticality. It wouldn't have been a foul if Schroder simply jumped straight up and down and Curry jumped into him. Right now the rule is that it's a defensive foul if the defender is jumping towards the shooter, even in the slightest way, and there is contact. And it is still a defensive foul even if the shooter is doing more to initiate the contact by jumping even farther forward than the defender. Curry's shot last night was actually pretty tame compared to others I've seen. If Luka is behind the 3 point line and he sees a defender jumping towards him to contest, he'll launch himself like 5 feet forward to ensure that there's contact, and it's 3 FT's every time.
I would be fine if they adjusted this rule. Maybe make it a judgment call for the ref to consider whether the shooter really needed to jump forward that far, but the refs called it like they were supposed to in yesterday's game.
It's basically the next extension of the old kicking the leg out to draw the foul rule. Curry did it both ways last night; jumping forward in this instance, and jumping back in another when he knew the defender was trailing. I hate when the game becomes about drawing fouls instead of straight up basketball. Drawing a foul wasn't intended to be a game strategy.
