Sorry @Wamu.....I know you were hyped for the game last night.

What's on the barbecue today? Steaks I made on Friday were good, but I didn't season them enough. I love Lawrys.

That was a helluva game last night. Just hoping that my favorite Celtics MRI comes back clean. Always scary when a player gets injured like that with no contact.

Actually no grilling today. Gonna make a pizza for lunch. And for dinner it's shake 'n bake chicken (thighs/drumbsticks) with homemade scalloped potatoes & steamed broccoli.

How about yourself, what grub you got for today?

Klay and Draymond are true professionals...real stars probably would have just ignored but Draymond talks about McGruder for 2 minutes in postgame. Get over it and move on.

Draymond should be the last player talking about acting tough. He is the fakest tough guy in the league

You all keep saying this.

You are out of your mind if you think Draymond Green can’t fight.

Of course I would rather have quality over quantity.

If Garland had that type of projectable upside, you wouldn’t be willing to trade him.

And you know it.
without sexton that's true...but very possible (even likely?) they don't see a sexton/Garland pairing is a longterm option.

i asked you if there is a single prospect or pick out there that would hold more value than Garland and you had no response.

and- as i have shouted from the roof tops- i dont think the Cavs record is legit- i expect them to be a bottom 10 team by the end of the season. As does Jason Lloyd.

Lloyd-in an interview with 92.3 said the same thing that i have been thinking the whole time---- hustle and teamwork can get you a few extra wins a season- and the CAvs have a good coach, teamwork, and work ethic all around the roster---- its one of the reasons they got rid of Porter--- they didnt need that to break up what they have going

but its a lot of young guys that i think will run out of steam- especially as the league gets healthier and the vaccine gets distirubted- which i expect by the end of March.

I think the Cavs are still looking at the lotto and a top 10 pick in this loaded draft. Garland and a top 10 pick in this loaded draft and DRummond expiring is a lot better- at least in my eyes- than paying Lonzo Ball 20 million a year, getting Hayes who isnt a whole ton different than Robinson- and a pupu platter of first round picks years into the future.
No disagreemen with the rest of your commentst, but where lance might be right is do they pick so high with Beal?

That's what I'm thinking as well. Dray doesn't strike me as the type to be a fake tough guy.

I am sure the Cavs view them as a long term paring.

I am equally sure they aren’t looking to trade for Bradley Beal.

Because the actual cost would impact their ability to compete long term. The Cavs future is Garland, Sexton, Okoro, Nance and Allen.

That isn’t ever likely to be championship contender material, but it is a solid young group that should be a playoff core for many years once they develop a little.

I said your offer was not even close. Didn’t need to name any single prospects with more value.

But later, I named 3. There are obviously more, but these 3 would possibly be in play if their teams wanted Beal.

Herro, Sexton and Wiseman
some issues I have with a couple of those. Sexton? sure if it was 2 or even a 1 year ago. But now it looks like Sexton might be an all star in his own right. Not sure anyone is giving up their own all star still on a rookie deal for Beal. Herro? Hard not to like the kid but no lock a team thinks more highly of him than Garland. Both look to have improved in year 2. smaller sample size due to injury, but Herro's 3 pt % has been ugly this year....all around game better.

I said that the Wizards would want Sexton in a Beal trade.

I didn’t say that the Cavs would pay that price.

The Cavs aren’t a realistic trading partner for the Wizards in a Beal deal.

Not much of a disagreement to that as a real possibility. For me, the discussion came when the Lakers were said to be after Beal because Lebron wants him. No doubt figured the cavs could do a lot better if they wanted him. Not as sure about you they wouldn't and they are certain Sexton/Garland works longterm. and agree if they want their ceiling to be a 4-5 seed consistently that core might be able to get them there with pieces they could add (obviously not through an elite FA here).

Will make this season less exciting, but some untimely (timely?) injuries to some key guys to bottom out (or at least to bottom 5) would not be so terrible.

What about a Tristan Thompson for Andre Drummond trade?

well of course they would want Sexton. I'm sure they'd want other studs on rookie deals that they couldn't have. Why I believe he asked for reasonable replies.

Im sure rodney mcgruder can fight too. I know his backstory from when he was on the heat. He ain't soft like klay Thompson

Good. Glad it's not something worse. Wasn't that a damn good game last night?

It was. I posted earlier that when Kemba got that shot, I was thinking "fuckers gonna go 2-12 and their gonna win the game". lol

The last few seconds was some of the worst basketball ever. It was like the Lakers said "Here, you guys go ahead and win the game", but the Celtics didn't want to be rude hosts, so they decided to go ahead and let their guests have the win.

The Cavs definitely would have a better package than the Lakers.

Lakers aren’t a serious landing spot for Beal unless a 3rd team got involved.

Shit, based on a thing I saw about him on tv a couple of years or so ago, his Momma could whip about 3/4 of the league herself. So yeah, he can probably fight. lol
