They've improved enough though to be better because the level of play they were at, it doesn't take a big leap to get over the hump. The Nets already had some defensive questions and now they've dramatically altered their team and will have to hope it all coalesces quickly. And that's assuming Kyrie gets his shit together (which isn't a given at all). They SHOULD be the best on paper but its gonna take time for the chemistry to get right and it might not happen in time for this season. And the Sixers are in the same spot the Bucks are. They both improved their teams and both have similar issues in the playoffs. But Giannis is the better player. Usually in the NBA, the team with the best player in close match ups wins.

The Sixers have a better coach and they added shooting, which is what they missed when Redick left.

He's definitely become a loon with some serious issues. Have to admit compared to what the kid seemed like when Cavs drafted him it's surprising (obviously not surprising based on his actions last few years).

League forcing other teams to play while allowing the celtics a week off due to covid is so unfair. There is really no difference between having 7 or 8 players available. As i said before there is more of an asterisk on this season than the playoffs we had in the bubble

Kudos to Lebron. He made it work for 3 years with Kyrie. KD couldn’t make it last 3 weeks lol.

Did you miss the part where I said they improved? They improved their team. But so did the Bucks. And both teams have had issues in the playoffs that they'll have to get over. And its not like Doc is a given to help that considering his biggest failure with the Clippers was his inability to make any adjustments in the playoffs

Nance is under contract for like 10M a year for 3 more years after this one. He can play defense.

Collins is better- but his defense is bad, and he will get prob. 30M a year like you said. He is a bad fit with Kevin Love

A big man rotation of Love, Nance, Allen is preetty interesting.....paying Love and Collins a combined 60 million seems prohibitive as well.

Allen by himself is going to get 20M a year probably.--- or something close to that. and they wouldnt have traded for him if they did not intend to sign him up.

McGee will be dealt probably pretty soon. Drummond may get dealt if they feel they get good value for him.

A contender that needs a big man could really get a big boost from Drummond and not have to take on a long term financial commitment- and they would sitll have Drummond's Bird Rights.

Yeah, agree Collins the better player for sure, but nance is tough to deal for reasons you listed. And an ascending player on arguably one of the best non-rookie deals in the NBA.

2-Brooklyn
3-Boston
4-Milwaukee

Not talking about records, just who I think the best teams are come playoff time.

Brooklyn will have to show they can play defense or they are 4th on that list
