I don't think so.

KD and Harden can score so Nash and Mr Pringles will have them playing like the Suns.
How many Finals did that team go to?

Brogdon and Sabonis (especially him) have been playing really well and they are adding LeVert who may be ready to come into his own.

They are a pretty deep team.
Losing Brogdon hurt the Bucks more than I have seen discussed anywhere.

They didn't but played in the WC.

KD and Harden are 2 of the best scorers ever. They will win a lot of games and if they get some players after the trade deadline they could be special.....maybe not this season but next season when they have more time together.

That WC wasn't this WC.

So your theory is that 3 players, 2 of whom are in their 30's and only one has ever actually played defense (and was average) and who play on a team that just got rid of what little defense they had...is suddenly going to start playing decent defense?

Really?

So now you agree they aren't there yet. You're right, those guys can score. In the regular season vs crap teams guys like Harden put up numbers. In the playoffs good defenses slow him down, and if his team can't stop the other team they don't go far. The playoffs require good defense too. So if the Nets make changes and get some defense they will be true contenders which is what I said.

They haven't played a game together!!!! LOL

And they need to replenish a depleted bench but when you have 2 guys like KD and Harden it'd be foolish to count them out.

I think they can make it to the ECF but not necessarily the Finals in year 1 unless they pull off another trade.....

I'm not counting them out. I'm counting a few other teams above them, because defense

Defense is overrated...The entire league and every sport for that matter is centered around offense including the rules which were changed to make even more importance on offense.

In the playoffs it matters. Check tape.

How about a wager, you get the Nets to make the Finals, I get the rest of the East?

Losing Brogdon hurt the Bucks more than I have seen discussed anywhere.

I was saying that all last year when they were dominating the East.

Brogdon is a stud and perfectly happy playing a role alongside Giannis.

Choosing Bledsoe over him was so dumb
It's strange that I've seen so many Bucks fans defend going that route, mostly on the basis of Brogdon not being a good fit in Bud's system in that he was a subpar perimeter shooter/catch + shoot threat off the ball. Yet we have seen in recent years that distance shooting is one of the easier facets of the game for many players to make dramatic improvements upon after they've gotten some NBA experience under their belts. And it's not as though Bledsoe was ever an above average perimeter threat.

If Brogdon shoots closer to the volume and percentage he is this year versus last season, the only remaining point not in favor of whether to have kept him would be his injury history.
