Im just done with the wild overeating of Wiggins.

he’s still an underwater contract

he’s filler to make siakam deal work. There’s basically no other way for gs to get siakam without including Wiggins.

You do get that underwater contracts like Wiggins and Draymond still hold value to GS, right?

They don’t have a ton of depth, especially if they trade a bunch of players for 1 very good player.

Wiggins may not be worth his contract in the trade market, but he is a highly valuable role player for GS. Especially with Klay probably not being the defender he once was.

To do that.

Toronto would need to have the roster room to take on

wiseman
Looney
Lee
Paschal
Mulder
Smailagic
Payton 2

that’s a 7 for 1 trade.

and all those deals would have to be guaranteed thanks to the silly NBA rule

they can dump Wiggins salary and just sign oubre in this scenario

Or…

They pick for the Raptors at 7 and 14, sign those players and send back an extra 10 million or so in salary.

Wiseman, 2 rookies and Looney is all that is needed in that scenario.

I thought once they signed they had to wait a certain amount of time to trade them.

that was the issue with the Wiggins/love deal iirc

That is true for free agents.

Is it the same with rookies?

I honestly don’t know.

But as long as they can make the deal before training camp, I don’t see a problem.

looks like 30 days, so idk why it was such a big deal for Wiggins/love either

Probably because people aren’t patient.

It is also a little nerve racking to draft the other teams’ preference and then have to wait 30 days to finalize the trade.

Warriors could theoretically get screwed over.

Yeah they have to at least throw in THT
He’s a nice player but even he gets overplayed because he’s like the only piece of any real value that the Lakers would have available in any deal. People are acting like he’s some future star and that’s not likely. He projects to be a solid role player and nothing more.

We gonna trade for him, a career 40% 3 point stud, and he's gonna end up shooting 35% and 30% in the playoffs. The Lakers Curse is real
