The biggest thing you mentioned is him adding to his game using a sports psychologist. My personal opinion is I believe he has worked on his shooting and it hasn't worked out. Its good basketball that he can play defense and pass the ball well but if you are supposed to be a star guard commanding a huge chunk of your teams salary cap and you cant shoot free throws or 3 pointers and you coach is benching you in the 4th quarter I think he would be a liability. At 25 I dont think he has what it takes to all of a sudden turn his career around and be a shooter.

Now I didnt know that the Cavs didnt want to extend Sexton and were looking to get something in return for him, we are well aware of the Kevin Love situation and his contract. Now the upside is that I think Darius Garland still has some upside and can develop into something the sixers can really utilize. If those 1st rounds picks are unprotected I think would have some lottery level value because IMO I think a team where your best players are Simmons, Evan Mobley, Jarret Allen, and Ricky Rubio would be lucky to win 35 games and that is being nice to be honest.
The original rumor didn’t have Garland. It was Love Sexton Reddish and 2 Cavs first rounders. If Ben Simmons doesn’t improve or add to his game he’s still an All Star. You say we all know about Kevin Love but apparently you don’t. You don’t seem to understand that adding Love isn’t a positive asset that can be weighed according to how good it is. It’s a negative asset. When you stack the give and take of this deal you seem to not understand that on the negative side of the deal where you place losing Simmons you would place taking on Kevin Love at 30+ million right next to it. When you make a trade, the stuff you bring back is supposed to be a positive. Love is an overwhelming negative. It likely ranks among one of the 10 worst contracts in the league. You’re quick to talk about it not being good that Ben Simmons is an All Star that can’t shoot at 30 million dollars. Well, how about a guy like Kevin Love at the same total who can’t even play basketball anymore?

But that is the point.

He doesn’t care what his trade value is, nor should he.

It is actually in his personal best interest to lower his trade value more so his new team benefits.

Well I think he does care about his trade value. Simmons seems to take his public image/reputation very seriously. He considers himself one of the top players in the league. What does it say if he is traded for a bag of basketballs? If I had to guess he would rather the team that traded for him gave up a bunch and was depleted rather than lose face by being traded for pennies on the dollar.

just read something where he and his camp told the sixers it’s not his responsibility to rebuild his trade value.

so this could be fun.

This is all just posturing on both sides. Team Simmons is saying this to defend his decision to not come to camp.

I think he shows up and goes through the motions, because it sounds like the NBA will step in if the sixers don’t fine him for skipping camp

He isn’t the star he thinks he is. He can sit as long as he likes and the Sixers can wait him out. Maxey takes his starting job at the 1. Milton backs him up. Isiah Joe fills in at the 2 as the guy in the rotation that replaces Simmons. Thybulle gets more minutes.
Maxey
Curry
Green
Harris
Embiid
Bench of:
Thybulle (3) Milton (1 or 2) Joe (2 or 3) Drummond (5) Niang (4) Paul (4) Springer (1 and 3) and Korkmaz (2 and 3)

They can hold down the fort with that through Christmas or even a little later until the Sixers can get value for their asset. Fuck Ben Simmons. If you’re gonna be a diva you need to actually be a top 20-25 player. He could be that guy, but he’s not that guy.

I'm not angry at Simmons. But I do think he and Clutch have miscalculated.

I wasn’t before but I am now. I get it. Sometimes things don’t work out. Embiid is a poor pairing with Simmons who can’t play with a dominant big who clogs the lane. But this Bitch is rolling scorched earth on his way out so fuck this guy and him messing with my squad’s future.

I don't think he's engaging in scorched Earth. He wants out. I understand why. If he shows up and pulls a Jimmy Butler THEN I will say "fuck this guy"

Doc is just a stated reason. Doc isn’t the problem. His game doesn’t flush with a team that plays through Embiid on the block extended. It’s really Embiid or Simmons and that head to head choice is a no brainer considering the gains Embiid made last year. Prior to last season, it was debateable. Dude just doesn’t fit and he knows it. He’s blaming the fact that he hasn’t evolved on the fit.

It all depends on what the Sixers got back in return. Not interested in the pupu platter.
On this point, we agree. Simmons is one of the primary remaining assets from The Process. They can’t part with that asset without getting a solid return that helps this squad contend.

What I’m calling scorched earth is him using leaks to diminish the Sixers leverage in trading him.

Why would he help them?
He doesn’t have to help. But he doesn’t have to harm either. But one could argue that harming his value with his leaks makes him more difficult to trade for an honest return which is what would motivate the Sixers to get a deal done. So his actions are detrimental to his own goals.

What was the purpose of writing all that I literally said that we are all aware of Kevin Loves contract situation we didnt need all that you just typed out. Also just because Ben Simmons is an All Star doesnt justify the trade, he is an overrated player, Joel Embiid, Tobias harris, and Seth Curry carried the team. The biggest reason why Ben Simmons makes all star teams is because of his popularity from being a #1 overall pick, playing on a winning team in a pretty good market, and getting a blow job from a kardashian.

I dont know what the latest rumors are if Garland is in it or not I just read it from the CBS Sports website Ben Simmons trade rumors: Cavaliers still trying to acquire 76ers' All-Star, per report

So if that is wrong then go write a letter to Sam Quinn or whatever staff writer with CBS Sports and let them know that they are wrong in having Garland in their article.

My bad. I assumed that you had read the conversation we were having where the deal we were talking about was laid out. Ben Simmons is an All Star because he’s an elite defender that averages 15,8,8. Have you actually watched him play? He impacts the game when he plays. He has never been voted into an All Star game. He is one of the coaches picks each year he’s made it. So you’re saying that NBA coaches are influenced by who is Fucking a Kardashian?
