Yeah, I doubt he gets what is seeking, but this also looks like he won’t be signing in LA for any type of discount.
Nope but we could still swing a sign and trade to get something back.

I'd also like to officially communicate that I'm looking for a contract in the 120 million dollar range.

Me too, and I'm willing to go beyond that 4 year window, hockey style.

I would have no problem with the Lakers signing Schroder to a deal like that...as long as the headline announcing it said: The Los Angeles Lakers Have Signed Dennis Schroder to a 5 year $125 Million Deal To Complete A Trade For Mike Conley (or Kyle Lowry or, etc., etc.).

That type of deal between 2 contenders will never happen, but it would absolutely make both teams better.

Maybe a lot better.
Irving and Embiid would be a great 1-2 punch and Simmoms would be the PG the Nets need.

Here's a cool Larry Bird story narrated by Jamal Mashburn... (there seems to be a good handful of Larry stories just like this).

Magic Johnson is part of the story (it's about the Dream Team), so I'll tag some Laker fans on this post too: @trojanfan12, @ChiefsLakers67, @shopson67, @DJ. It's about 5 minutes long.

I don’t think he would be their PG, but he wouldn’t need to score in half court. Just defend, push in transition and find open guys.

That was great. Helluva story. Rodney Rogers was taken to school that day.

How could he not have known better though?

College kids shouldn’t talk smack to living legends.

That's what I'm thinking. Especially a player like Bird, he always backed up everything he said. Like when he walked into the locker room during the '88 all star weekend and asked who's finishing 2nd in the 3 point contest.
