Love has 2 years left. I doubt you'd get the 3 without Garland for Simmons so cannot imagine they'd include Garland. My guess is the #3 is off the table for the Cavs.
How about Simmons plus Sixers one this year and next plus Thybulle for Love and the 3? It would be like drafting Simmons over the player they covet at 3 while also getting out of the Love contract. Sixers could also take back either the Prince or Nance deal if the Cavs want out.

If Love comes back, I’m not sure I’m interested. Maybe a 3rd team needs to be involved that would desire the Love contract (he’s in his last year right?). I would scrap Sexton for Garland the 3 pick and a mix and match of salary to make it work.

Yeah, maybe there is another answer to match salary. I get why you would balk at bringing Love in.

Not sure the fit is right for Philly.

FYI, the #3 pick probably has more value than any other piece mentioned in the deal including Simmons.

Don’t think you will be getting that.

I would think it a bad idea to trade both Simmons and Thybulle

totally agree on the notion of not selling low if I'm the 76ers.
It’s not low if next year is year 5 in his regression, he at least has some value to the people that think they are fixers. He is done in Philly, I’m confident in that. They had a title this year, you don’t get past that.

And now for the crazy talk…
If Lillard wants out, history says that the team that deals the disgruntled star is going to lose the deal. So understand that I agree with you. The Blazers are losing this deal. I don’t know if there are many teams out there that can beat a deal for Simmons and Tyrese Maxey. My guess would be the Celtics could beat it with Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart. But I’ve read that Beal is the object of their desire this off season. Am I missing anybody out there who would be the contender Lillard seeks that can best that deal the Sixers could potentially offer?

Why is Dame upset though? Who was his guy?

Gist is Billups has a pretty damning sexual assault charge in his past (1997) that somehow has been successfully buried up until now. Dame was asked by the organization for candidates he'd be interested in, he said Kidd and Billups. When fans found about Billups charge, it caused a lot of blowback. Dame felt the organization was letting him take the blame as if he was advocating hard for Billups despite 1) Him not even knowing about the charge and 2)They asked him to pick some candidates from a list and those two were the ones he picked, he wasn't campaigning. This is all on top him wanting to be a championship contender and seeing if the Blazers are gonna be that place for him. So then Chris Haynes, a writer that has connections to Dame, put out a story (probably from Dame himself) that said he wasn't happy that the Blazers were sorta letting him take blame and if he couldn't get support both on and off court, he might want out of Portland.

Not sure how that works under trade rules though.

Pascal makes 31 million.

Didn’t Kidd used to throw his wife around too?

Feel like if Dame and his agent were the ones who came up with the list this shit’s on them as much as it’s on the team.

He’s probably better off asking out anyway. It’s never gonna work there.

looks like we are shaping up to have another wild NBA offseason
In many respects it's the best part of the NBA. There's really 3 seasons: regular season, playoffs, offseason. The regular season is easily the least fun of the 3.
