I mean, got the info straight from somebody who knew him personally.

Believe what you want.

But obviously he was in a position to lead in Minnesota. Not at all in Cleveland. Very believable that he would act different. Love wasn’t going to cross LeBron.

Now he is older, more experienced and a different person.
But guys can be a D if the #1 guy, #2 guy, #3 guy, etc. Just didn't come across that way here.

GSW is done.

and honestly- before this streak- they were historically a very shiity team.

I think the Cavs are taking Mobley and I dont like it. No way Houston takes Mobley.
I think Houston could still take Mobley.

Mobley works if they move some pieces.

But keeping Love, Osman etc... and then adding Mobley would be dumb
I don't think Love matters one way or other. No matter what he'd likely be gone after 2 seasons while if they take Mobley he's likely here a minimum of 7-8. Osman a SF so not sure he matters either. Nance can play 3-5. Only one who matters is Allen. IF they cannot play together would think Allen might be dealt if they took Mobley.

Totally.

Just responding to what you said about it being hard to believe.

There may have been legit reasons why Love was acting that way in Minny. Maybe beyond just being young and inexperienced.

He certainly had moments in Cleveland. It took him awhile to fit in, at least in the locker room.

I think the not fitting in was as much Lebron and his personality than Love.

maybe frustration because his rosters were abhorrent?

honestly- Id go Barnes over Mobley.

I just dont get it with Mobley.

How many great PFs are out there that impact the game on a huge level? hes not great at anything. "He cant shoot a 3

Barnes would at least be a monster on defense, and be able to switch on anyone- and hes a leader and a very hard worker.

I really like Kuminga too-

I want Suggs or Green- and if not- to trade down and make sure you get Kuminga or Barnes.

Kuminga has a lot of risk - but hes a pure wing with amazing athletic ability- I think that his ceiling is incredibly high- and then Barnes bust potential is probably nothing- hes going to be All NBa defense 1st or 2nd team multiple times, and can make plays.

Out of those 6 guys- Mobley has the most bust potential. What are the chances that MObley is AD lite? What are the chances he is even Bam? Is Bam what you want from him ideally?

Yeah, he actually can shoot the 3, but he needs to work on it to get it to NBA level. He can be hard to gauge because he's pretty quiet and the game comes pretty easy for him. Sometimes that can make him appear indifferent.

My biggest concern with him is that I felt there were times when he was needed to take over a game, but he just didn't. He was better about that in the tournament, but not where he needs to be, imo. If he had the intensity of his brother, he'd probably be the easy #1 pick. He also is going to need to put on some weight.

He's a coaches kid and knows the game well which is also a plus. I don't think he'll make a big impact right away, but I think he can eventually get close to AD level. Depends on how hard he wants to work though.

he’s also the best defender in the draft and probably guard multiple positions.

But his ft% of just under 70% is a big concerning. As does his poor rebounding.

there’s a very real chance he’s also just bigger Larry nance, which has value because he can stay on the floor vs any lineup configuration.

but he’s pretty clearly 4th for me of the big 4.

I want them to get Suggs but thst means Sexton is gone and they chose a guard 4 years in a row. Suggs is a combo guard but if they plan on making Sexton a part of their future I like Kuminga, Green or Mobley. I dont know much about Barnes honestly and I agree Mobley could be good in rhe future but I dont think much of him at this point.
I just have mixed feelings on who should stay or go on this team, they are undersized but Sexton did everything he had to and he is a competitor. This is the year Love needs to go, whether it is for a bag of chips or they get shit in return

Agree with a lot of this. Free throws need work. 69% isn't terrible for a big. But a big with his skill set should be at least 75%.

As far as rebounding, that will be interesting to see. He definitely can be a good rebounder when he wants to. He managed to average 8.7 rebounds per game. A lot of his time on the floor was with his brother who is a good rebounder. Between the 2 of them, they averaged about 16 per game.

That's where gaining a little weight could help him. At 215, he'll be pretty easy for heavier guys to bump around.

for a big it’s fine.

for a guy who needs to stretch the floor it is a concern.

ft% is the best projector of future 3pt shooting

Cannot say I saw the kid play more than a couple games but in theory hard to disagree with what you said. also didn't see the others play much if at all. But, sure, unless I'm sure about the PF I prefer the wing.

That first part worries me. Sure, he wont be Anthony Bennett bad but I do recall what Griff said about why Bennett failed (after he lobbied hard for him). something to the effect of the game was always easy for him and he was always the best athlete. when it got hard he didn't know how to deal with it. No work ethic.

That scares me.....but certainly no lock IMO someone like Kuminga or Barnes will be studs either (or even Suggs/Green)

as most know I like nance a lot.....but wouldn't want him as #3 pick in this draft so your point is well taken.

Guess depends on how they see Suggs. If a clear PG, maybe Garland is the guy they'd look to move. Not sure he's better than sexton but you might get more as he gets big money a year later than Sexton.

If they picked a clear SG wouldn't even be surprised if Sexton played his ass off to beat out Garland at PG.

Yeah, I don't think he'll be a bust. I haven't heard anything negative re: his work ethic. As I mentioned above, he's a coaches kid, so he should know that he's going to have to get better. But the lack of intensity is concerning in that, he may not feel the need to put in the work to reach his full potential.

Looking at his skillset and comparing him to other bigs with similar skillsets, I'd say his ceiling is AD and his floor is Lamar Odom.

I don't think he'll be a bust either. Totally different than Bennett and that draft, too, as that was considered a weak draft and Bennett was seen by most as top 3-5 (if not 1) mostly because just not a good draft. Mobley probably considered top 3 in most drafts.

I'm with wiggy and others I prefer a wing but wouldn't be mad if they took him before seeing how it played out.
