Where the guards are certainly isn’t up to me, what you see is what I’ve heard in the media since the trade for Jackson; don’t kill the messenger. I agree that one addition doesn’t make the line, but being realistic and based off of the Hawks history they won’t be loading up the line so don’t be surprised if what you see is what you get. They completely botched acquiring Zeitler who would have been much cheaper and less a draft pick so that tells you right there the Jackson move was somewhat desperation IMO; albeit an upgrade regardless. This team puts a competent Oline together about as well as drafting in the first round.......I’m taking it for what it is.
Sorry if you thought I was being short with you because I wasn't. You are also right EVERYONE and their moms are saying Lewis to the left and I don't understand why. Why take a talented RG and slide him over to the left side when you have a vet that plays both Left and right guard and who plays LG better than he does RG? This is what confuses me. Go look at Jacksons blocking grades from left side to right side. He goes from borderline pro bowler on the left to a little above average on the right. We all ready have a above average player on the right with Lewis who should only improve in his second season. Why retard that 2nd year growth by throwing him into a 3rd position (yes 3rd because they have him learning Center also remember?)? This just leaves me scratching my head because it really doesn't make sense to me. Don't you want to put the players in the best position to succeed?
