That's fine. You don't necessarily close out teams in the last 10 secs of a game though.

Here's my take and I watched em both throughout their careers...MJ is the GOAT, LeBron is the best overall basketball player I've ever seen. Make sense? I'm not sure it does to me either but that's what i'm sticking with.

I believe there is another stat out there when your team is down by 1 or 2, tied, etc. that also has MJ and Lebron way ahead of Kobe but that is beyond the point.
MJ and Lebron that is another topic, Kobe isn't in that conversation and I think most would agree. There will be people that say MJ will never fall from the GOAT platform and others say that the longevity with ultimately hoist Lebron over MJ. To me it doesn't matter, both were different players and were the 2 greatest players of all-time. Hard to compare and I won't even attempt until we see the final product from Lebron.

Im not arguing about who was the greatest of all time. My top five would be Michael Jordan,. Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul Jabaar,. the next two is debatable, but Larry Bird, Tim Duncan and Kobe might be good candidates.

Absolutely none of those guys, however tried to choose their own players and teams. If Lebron is as great as most of you say then he should have been able to play with anyone

Lebron definitely gets part of the blame but the front office has done an awful job. Sure they got one championship but the other 2 out of the 4 years they basically had no chance. The other year you could argue they did but AD got hurt....they gave up all their assets for that player-got one title but in the grand scheme of things you want to at least compete for more than one imo

Never said he wasn't. But, with being the best player, comes expectations. He's coupled with another top 10 player in AD (who's been injured), plus RW who's at minimum, a top 25 player. Winning 1 title out of 4 years, you need to look at context. And if 2 of the 4 years you didn't even make the playoffs, that's pretty bad.

In all likelihood, I will concede to LeBron being a great player as he had a better set of skills combined, where Kobe was more limited in some areas. Kobe has 5 and LeBron has 4, I doubt that LeBron can get one more without a miracle recover by Davis in the health department and better role players... LeBron is quickly running out of time

You're bringing up titles again to enforce your view, again, not the greatest approach. Lebron also won with 3 different franchises with completely different supporting casts. Kobe won with 1 franchise with 2 different casts.
