I usually take great joy in the Lakers misery.

But, ffs....this was kinda heartbreaking.

Dude is just broken.

Yeah...that's truly sad.
Not to mention it's happened in his home town.
That said, he's not the only one to blame for their downfall.

If he was like Harden or Kyrie watching him fail would be a much easier task...but he's such a positive guy. It sucks.

It's not.

He is who he is.

They brought home a honey badger and wanted it to behave like a kitten.

There is no domesticating his wild ass.

But for real though, he's soooooooooooo bad. For a player of his supposed stature and talents, he barely can put up the impact of a low level starter/rotation player. Lakers, in spite of their shittiness, could have actually won that game tonight if he could actually contribute anything close to what people have in the minds of who Russell Westbrook is. Instead, he chucks up ugly shots, sulks and exerts little to no effort all game. He's making a case for worst Laker of all time
Sad part is they might roll with him for next season to play out his contract (all time low trade value) while they could trade AD and James since they could bring back more than RW would.

Best leader in sports my ass.

He aint even trying.

Body language is shit.

Feet nailed to the goddamn floor.

Yeah but it is one game, I get it though. There is no coming back from this roster....it's so bad, it's unlike any team he's had in his career and it's setting in.

Im not arguing about who was the greatest of all time. My top five would be Michael Jordan,. Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul Jabaar,. the next two is debatable, but Larry Bird, Tim Duncan and Kobe might be good candidates.

Absolutely none of those guys, however tried to choose their own players and teams. If Lebron is as great as most of you say then he should have been able to play with anyone

You have Kobe ranked ahead of LeBron. Nothing else needs to be said. There's a reason that through the same number of years LeBron averages more pts, rebs, asts, stls, blks, has a better FG% and a better 3-pt. %. LeBron > Kobe

As far as your none of those guys did what LeBron's done. Really odd thing to say as Bird, Magic, MJ & KAJ all played in an era were players didn't jump around.

Why don't you have an issue with KD's team jumping? What he's done is worse than LeBron. KD joined a team he couldn't beat, that were the 2x defending conference champs with the 2x League MVP. Then he teamed up with two all starts in Brooklyn. But that's different somehow isn't it?

You're not objective in ranking him due to your hatred of him. Everyone knows I'm no fan of the Lakers. But I would never let my feeling for the organization get in the way of properly ranking Magic & KAJ.

I dislike Lebron, and not a fan of his overall. Having said that, he's number 2 in my GOAT debate (behind Jordan). And if you're a fan of playing at a high-level with longevity (I think Jordan's peak was higher than Lebron's; coupled with dominance of his era compared to Lebron), Lebron would be without a doubt the GOAT.

But in this case, Lebron's better than Kobe. And I like Kobe.

Kobe has 5 championships, and LeBron has 4 now ....Its difficult to compare those two because they were so different

Kobe's an all time great, But LeBron's better. The numbers don't lie.

Even the way they entered the league was completely opposite. LeBron got the the league and averaged 20/5/5 and was starter from day one. Kobe started 6 games his rookie year and averaged 7.6/1.9/1.3.

In their second seasons one averaged 27.2/7.4/7.2 and the other averaged 15.4/3.1/2.5 and started one game.

No it's not difficult at all to compare the two. Just look at their career numbers.

And stop with Kobe has more championships stuff. Kobe had prime Shaq. LeBron has never had a teammate as talented as the Diesel. Kobe also had Phil as his coach.

You seem to want to ignore the player comparison and only look at rings. Sometimes rings don't tell the whole story. Example. Since you're tying to use the ring argument does that mean Jason 'white chocolate' Williams (one ring) > Stockton (no rings)? Of course not.

Every season of LeBron's career he's been the best player on his team. But that can't be said about Kobe.

And since you wanna use the ring thing I'll counter by saying LeBron's a 4x League MVP. Kobe has one. LeBron also has more Finals MVP's

It's a cop out to use the championships excuse with all-time greats. I'll say this for Lebron, he had plenty of help in his career post first stint with Cleveland. But he never had a talent like prime Shaq next to him. Shaq and Kobe were arguably the greatest 1-2 combo to get a title. But without Shaq, those mid-2000's Lakers teams had zero direction and it was difficult to elevate them to contender status.

Lebron at least in Cleveland made the first go around made deep playoff runs. The issues you're seeing in LA is Lebron's doing (not the player, but the GM) as he's back to carrying the load, and father time is starting to walk up to his door.

Well for me, Kobe was the best closer of all time, and for most of Lebron s career they used to have a joke that if ask for change for a dollar that you will get back three quarters only because Lebron is not the greatest closer by any means

On the other hand, Kobe was a selfish player with poor distribution skills and took too damned many shots. My personal observation was that when took too many shots , the Lakers usually lost. That threshold was usually around 22 to 27 shots. Lebron, however has better distribution skills, makes others better.

Kobe on the hand was a slightly better on defense

Here's the best way to show rings aren't the deciding factor when comparing great players.

Bill Russell (11 rings) > any other player in league history

See how silly that sounds?

If Lebron will just STFU and let the front office manage the situation, the Lakers might be able to fix it. They have 8 players on one year contracts... That is their biggest problem . One year rentals are seldom effective. Kobe, however was the best shooter and closer between the two
