Any of you guys and girls listen to NBA podcasts? I’m starting to get into them. Who has the most entertaining content?

Because AD is the best player in the trade by a good bit.

Yes, health is a concern. But the Celtics appear to be a team with a ceiling. Healthy AD could (in theory) raise that ceiling.
Yeah, the Celtics haven't done much with all the draft picks Ainge assembled.

AD could put them over the top if he could play 70 games in the reg season and then make it through the postseason healthy.

Who is your All NBA 1st team this year?

I’ve got 4 spots down but need a fifth. Wouldn’t be a problem if they made All NBA positionless basketball.

Here’s me:
G - Ja Morant
G- DeRozan
F-
F- Giannis
C- Embiid

This spot should be KD but he’s been banged up. Then you maybe slot DeRozan at F and go CP3. Do you go Booker? Curry? This wouldn’t be a problem if they allowed for more than one center and then you have Jokic in there. In fact, the two best arguments for All NBA this year are centers.

It would give Boston the best big man they have had in a long time and he's the best player in the trade?
Best player when healthy…which is rare these days. Too much risk

I’m not sure how they do positions these days. Whoever wins MVP Jokic or Embiid with get the center spot. Giannis at PF.

Morant should get it over Curry easily but I wouldn’t doubt them giving it to Curry.

DeRozan for SG makes sense even though Book is close imo.

SF comes down to KD, Bron and Luka. KD will miss too many games, probably Lebron but Luka could put up a fight especially with his team being better.

What’s crazy is your answer is consistent with the way they use All NBA to float wings in at G or F. They allow for that. Yet they make no allowance for two centers. Last year Embiid got the short end of the stick and you can’t tell me he wasn’t one of the five best players in the league last year. And that will be true of Jokic Embiid this year.

Exactly. Especially if you're gonna give up 23 pts a game and 2 of the best defenders in the league. I'm not saying I wouldn't do it for a guy of AD's caliber, but like you said, his health is too much of a risk.

I said it here previously and will say it again. The die hard fans here know much more than the guys they have on tnt/espn. These dudes barely watch games

Jalen and Trae already limped back to the locker room in this Hawks-Celtics game.

Then flip RW To OKC for Favors and Muscala plus a 2nd. All 3 are expiring and OKC way under the salary cap
Stop it, we aren’t taking him back. Thunder are fine paying everyone a little more this year to get up to the floor.

Why it is lame when people try to say that former players opinions are valued more.

1) a lot of former players aren’t paying attention all that closely.

2) many former players are biased toward whatever makes them/their era look best

Glad they called that on Trae. No need for that bs in the game, it gives the offensive player an unfair advantage
