Sure could...almost wish they missed the next couple weeks as might not win anyway but played the last week as we maybe don't drop some of the games we did.
Where is Covid when we need it most???

Haha. I just think it's funny that people are so desperate for the Lakers to be good.

SportsHoopla Lakers fans excluded obviously **

It's because the Lakers are the NBA's "glamour franchise". When David Stern was Commisioner, he was asked what his dream finals matchup would be as far ratings...he said "Lakers vs. Lakers".

I don't think it's that bad anymore as there is a lot of talent spread around the league and a lot of folks these days are more fans of players than teams. But they are still the most talked about team. If they are good, people talk about that. If they aren't good people talk about "what's wrong with the Lakers?"

Good for Lakers, not sure why Boston would consider really only bc of AD's injury history

That's where his being injury prone hurts and why I wonder what some of these folks are thinking when they propose this stuff.

Sure, if they thought AD could stay healthy, the Celtics are probably interested. But the Lakers likely aren't.

Since he can't seem to stay healthy, the Lakers would be interested, but I doubt the Celtics are.

That makes zero sense for Miami. Colin lay off the pipe

To be fair, Cowherd said it wouldn't happen because the Lakers would want Bam and the Heat aren't giving him up. Also, according to bks, the Heat won't trade Lowry as long as Jimmy is there.

Just my opinion but I doubt Jimmy wants to play with Lebron anyway.

Maybe. I think Jimmy would play with anyone that he thought would take winning a title as seriously as he does.

But I doubt he'd want the drama that comes with Lebron.

I forgot how much you despise him.

** = there's no doubt your personal feelings towards him factor greatly into things
Never did like him as a person, but he is a Proven champion and while I dislike the Cowardly way he talks about the Lakers behind their backs, He is right about the need to dump Westbrook, but he isnt a gm. He needs to shut the fuck up and quit trying to build his own team. Phil Jackson wasn't a good gm either, but one hell of a great coach. Do what you have the job skills to do

Nothing more needs to be said. Which means your opinions of him are with a considerable amount of bias.

I gotta say though I think it's hilarious that in the same comment that you blast him in you also say he's right.

1 = He kinda built his own team in Miami and won two rings. He kinda built his own team his second time in Cleveland and won a ring. He even kinda built his own team in Los Angeles, no way he signs there if he knows AD isn't coming along for the ride, and won a ring.

And I'd even go as far as to say LeBron has a better understanding about players throughout the league than Pelinka ever will. Players see the game much differently than an executive sitting in an office.

Very surprised he thought Russ would change though and some of us thought it could possibly work too but Russ has actually regressed. Amazing player in his prime but once the age sets in (still explosive) he is the player we all thought he was, probably better suited to carry a bad or average team to possibly the playoffs but nothing more.

I think the the Lakers, and LeBron, were scammed in a weird way. I'm sure there had to be some talks about what exactly would be expected from him before they got him. How he would fit in and everything.

But he's the same exact player this season that he has been for years. There's no question he's talented. But there's a reason why he's now on his 4th team in 4 years. And it's not a good reason that he's been team-jumping lately.

How do you know he would have won less if he hadn't built is own teams? Kobe won 5 and Jordan won six without that

I don't see why on Earth the Celtics would do this. They already have depth issues and AD can't stay on the floor for any sustained length of time.

Because AD is the best player in the trade by a good bit.

Yes, health is a concern. But the Celtics appear to be a team with a ceiling. Healthy AD could (in theory) raise that ceiling.

Oh no, not the dreaded MJ/LeBron/Kobe stuff again. Okay, I'm game.

MJ's the GOAT. No disputing that. But one of the other two players really shouldn't be in the conversation. And that's because LeBron is legit top 5 all time. For how great Kobe was he isn't top 5.

From day one LeBron's been the best player on his team and there was never a question about it. That can't be said for Kobe. And LeBron never had a teammate as dominant as Shaq was.

No back to what this is all about so we don't get sidetracked. Yes LeBron deserves blame for this Lakers roster. But so does management.

Im not arguing about who was the greatest of all time. My top five would be Michael Jordan,. Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul Jabaar,. the next two is debatable, but Larry Bird, Tim Duncan and Kobe might be good candidates.

Absolutely none of those guys, however tried to choose their own players and teams. If Lebron is as great as most of you say then he should have been able to play with anyone
