Nah, this is on Lebron. It's the roster he wanted and no GM is saying no in that situation.

Hopefully, this either convinces Lebron that he's not a good GM or it now puts the Lakers in position to be able to tell him to go sit down and let the FO handle the roster.

Are you joking? So the Lakers FO in no way is to blame for what's going on, it's 100% all on LeBron? Like I've said in previous comments LeBron deserves some of the blame. But so do the Lakers.

I love him him but he is part of the problem.

There are 3 parts to the Lakers issues.

1-RW has been really bad.
2-Injuries.
3-Vogel's subbing patterns and using 30 different starting lineups. Not saying it is all on him but those 3 have all played a factor in this season.

Vogel's subbing patterns and starting lineups are a search for something that works. Nothing is working consistently (and injuries have fed into that as well). Vogel seems to have lost this team though, or at least can't get his players to give consistent effort.

This roster was always going to be flawed (two slow conventional bigs, so many aging out vets), but needed to be largely carried by it's 2 star players and to some degree Westbrook. Russ has been a net negative and AD can't stay in the game. Everything ends up on Lebron, who needs to pace his way through games at his age. Maybe this team can get healthy and at least compete in the postseason, but this season is done essentially. Hopefully they can piece together a better roster for next season.

That's a bit strong. It's the roster that Lebron could get, given his chase for a 3rd star. Hield is a fit, but not a star. A trade for DeRozan instead of Westbrook could've been interesting, but nobody saw DeRozan's re-emergence coming to this level.

A GM is always going to need the input of his star players, especially in today's NBA. I'm not confident that Pelinka knows all that much more than Lebron, other than shutting down that Wall potential trade which had no guaranteed upside.

@ChiefsLakers67

Yesterday I mentioned I gotta bunch of bad ideas for the Lakers going forward. Here are a couple more.

-teach LeBron a lesson and bench him for the rest of the season

-fire Vogel today

-replace him with Pelinka

-replace Pelinka with Linda Rambis

-bring back Jimmy B as a team consultant

People keep saying this and I keep asking...Considering the ill fitting roster, all of the injuries and at least 3 of the players that were supposed to be in the rotation have shown they have nothing left...exactly what substitution pattern is he supposed to be using? So far, not one person has answered.

Maybe you'd like to take a crack at it?

Again, name the GM that is saying no when his 2 stars come to him and say we both want this guy?

People keep saying this, but no one has answered that question.

And that's the problem and why this is on Lebron. While Hield may not be a star, he would be a far better fit and it's unlikely the Lakers are in this current mess. By insisting on Westbrook...he created the situation that led to this current roster.

Didn't LeBron want Westbrook traded for Wall? If so is it his fault that trade didn't happen?

For the Lakers, yes. For just about every other franchise? Legendary.
I specifically remember debates on here if the Big 3 era was a success, and there was debate around 4 Finals trips straight, that resulted in two titles, and if that was a failure. We won't even bring up Golden State's recent run.
