This morning on ESPN they said 2 weeks minimum, he's supposed to be re-evaluated after the All-Star game. I have extensive personal experience with sprained ankles. The main thing is whether it's a "high ankle sprain" or not. High ankle sprains take longer to heal...those are the ones that can take 6 weeks or more. I only ever had one high ankle sprain and those fucking suuuuuuck.

The way his ankle rolled looked more like a regular ankle sprin to me. 2 weeks is possible, but he rolled it pretty good (ankle actually touched the court)...My guess is that it'll be closer to 3 weeks, maybe 4...it all depends on how quickly they can get the swelling down. He can get pretty much 24 hour treatment which will also help.

If I'm right about the sprain, once it gets past 2 weeks, it will depend on his pain tolerance as far as how quickly he can get back. I'm saying 3-4 weeks because he doesn't exactly seem like Kobe when it comes to pain tolerance. lol

Regular sprains can be longer than 2 weeks also though, especially if it is grade 3 (or grade 1, can’t remember which is worst).

That looked like a bad one

Thanks. All I heard was the cliff notes on talk radio. Harden doesn’t strike me as a “take less for the team” guy to begin with.
Yeah, that's how people are reporting it. I only know the context because I listened to the podcast.

A few moves would need to be made.

But, Harris could be dumped to OKC at the end of the year for a asset.

Gotta happen early before SG-A extension kicks in and their capspace evaporates.

Sources also confirmed that the Sixers have had conversations with the Oklahoma City Thunder about Tobias Harris. A person close to the Sixers downplayed the discussions, saying the Thunder are just one of several teams with available cap space that have inquired about taking in salary in exchange for draft picks. The person says Harris has nothing to be concerned about

Went to my first game at the Chase Center last night. It was really impressive, not just the stadium, but the surrounding area outside the arena. The arena itself was nice, but nothing that I would say blew me away.

So on to the game. The Warriors for the most part played well, but Kerr really messed up down the stretch. He left Looney in the game knowing that Denver was targeting him on freethrows. Jokic was feasting anyways and required a double team most times, so they would have been better off putting another shooter out there and just space the floor down the stretch. Jokic would have to guard one of the shooters too.

Second thing was I cannot fathom how Kerr can hold GP2 out of game closing defensive situations. It's just completely incomprehensible. Steph Curry's defense has been really good for the most part this year. But there's levels to this. GP2 is a legitimate all-nba defense caliber defender. He made so many defensive plays already in this game alone that had big impacts. He needs to be out on the court more, especially in situations requiring defensive stops. He's a respectable 36% from 3 this year and he's also a big time slasher and finisher, so he's not an offensive liability.

This was a game where the outcome could have been prevented by the coach. Malone out-coached Kerr down the stretch and it's the reason they won.

He is starting and playing really well. Good to see.

For us too.

The guy did all the dirty work in the 2nd unit.

But, he was salary filler.

I really like Covington too.

It's like having a taller, less yippy Pat Bev.

We have his bird rights.

So, maybe we keep him.

This is why I dig you, my fishy friend.

Keep it real, no excuses.

This marks Harris last chance with the Sixers. I’m a guy who thinks he can really get unlocked with Harden so there’s some hope there it can happen. But he becomes the piece that will get moved if after this season the Sixers assess that they need more.

Yeah, they can be weird. I've had ones that seemed really bad at first and healed quickly. I've had others that didn't seem as bad, but lingered longer than expected. Like you said, it's all about the grade of sprain. How he responds to treatment will matter a lot as well.

His ankle touched the ground and he's.......

I don't want to say soft.

But, always nicked up, always missing time.

He won't be back to close to normal before April....imo

Yeah, like I said, it's likely going to come down to pain tolerance for him. I think that, at least with the Lakers, when he's gotten hurt they've used an abundance of caution. If they want to have a chance to salvage the season, they aren't going to have that luxury this time.
