These are the international bonus pools for the 2021-22 signing period:
Clubs that received a Competitive Balance Pick in Round B of the Draft (Cardinals, D-backs, Indians, Orioles, Padres, Pirates, Rockies and Royals) received a pool of $6,262,600, while clubs with a Competitive Balance Pick in Round A (Brewers, Marlins, Rays, Reds, Tigers, and Twins) received $5,721,500.

The base signing pool for the Angels, Astros, Athletics, Braves, Cubs, Giants, Mariners, Mets, Nationals, Phillies, Rangers, Red Sox, White Sox and Yankees is $5,179,700. The Dodgers and Blue Jays forfeited $500,000 from their pools for signing players who had rejected qualifying offers -- Trevor Bauer and George Springer, respectively -- last offseason, so each has a pool of $4,644,000.

Major League Baseball and the MLB Players Association finalized a deal in March 2020 that addressed the international signing period during the pandemic. The 2021-2022 international signing period begins Jan. 15, 2022, and runs through Dec. 15, 2022. It’s the second year in a row the period is scheduled to begin in January.

Is owning a baseball team profitable?

Major League Baseball (MLB), with its 30 teams, generated around 3.66 billion U.S. dollars in total revenue. On average, each team generated almost 122 million U.S. dollars in revenue in 2020. ... In 2021, the average revenue multiple per MLB franchise was 5.19, more than twice the figure from 2011.

when...they say this...this is part...of the 52 pct...that the owners..do not take...at the gate....that...is what..they avoid...saying...what they say here..

is not about the owners...who...as we see...consider themselves...not the same as the team....and they take 48pct..at the gate...

so as they are lying...to keep..the acual..revenews...a seceret....so.a hair less...than double...is prob more acuarate/...as the math i did earlyer...suggests

useing there own..numbers...of 18 mil..market..value...they let the cat...out..of the bag.............x26...go figure..

also does not count..tv contracts..or any other..just gate..that is all..so the lie...is fat..FAT..and.. FATER...to the point...the owners will..tell

the players to eat...cake( histoical french referance)

Mariners 2022 International Signings:

Bonus pool: $5,179,700

Lazaro Montes, OF/1B, Cuba
Michael Arroyo, SS, Colombia
Martin Gonzales, SS, Dominican Republic
Marco Patiño, RHP, Mexico
Joaan de Jesus, SS, Dominican Republic
Eduardo Tovar, RHP, Venezuela

Jesse Sanchez of MLB.com reports that the Mariners have agreed to a $2.5 million deal with Cuban OF Lazaro Montes.

Montes, the eighth-ranked international prospect in the signing class, according to MLB Pipeline, is a massive outfielder with bushels of raw power and athleticism, which could make him an impact fantasy contributor in a few years. The 17-year-old projects as a power-hitting corner outfielder at the highest level in Seattle.

Juan Querecuto will convert to pitching full-time this upcoming season.

Querecuto, a highly-touted shortstop prospect out of Venezuela, received a $1.225 million signing bonus as an international prospect back in 2017. The 21-year-old has yet to advance beyond Single-A, hitting .236/.332/.308 with four homers in 107 games since 2018. He'll give pitching a shot this upcoming season.

Article from ESPN+

Here are the top 10 outfielders at each of the three spots, based on feedback from evaluators, as well as Hembekides and Sarah Langs of MLB.com.

There were no Mariners listed in the Top 10, or the Honorable Mention list, at any of the 3 outfield positions.

The one listing that caught my eye was in LF. Enjoy.

1. Tyler O'Neill, St. Louis Cardinals

The gap between O'Neill and any other player at his spot might be the most significant among all of the positions. He is a plus defender, mashed 34 homers last season and finished 19th in FanGraphs' baserunning metric. His rate of hard-hit balls jumped from 33% in the pandemic-shortened 2020 season to 42.8% last year.

I just read the same article but on Infielders. Mariners had none ranked on the Top 10 at any infield position, but did have 2 listed as Honorable Mention list.1- France at 1B and 2- Crawford at SS.

No real surprises. The catcher position which we are weak at had 3 Mariners listed. Zunino at #5, Narvaez at #10, and Nola #HM.

Kyle Lewis 1.....................we assume...if not in spring...that soon after....or by june he will be in CF
Mitch Haniger 17....dont make no mistakes...this is hanigers team...and they will prob do whatever it takes to keep him.

..Jake Fraley 28...both fraley..and..
Taylor Trammell 20......are hot....teams want them....and so do the mariners....anytime...someone else is injured....but unfortunatly..
