Shameful. Unless you are drafted in the first few rounds, minor leaguers make below poverty level wages when you factor in cost of living nowadays. So billionaire owners dont want to pay them for a few weeks which is only a few million out of there pockets.
We wonder why baseball is dying a slow death and people choose other sports.

Jim Bowden via The Athletic posted "The first move each AL team should make when the lockout ends," and this is what he had to say about the Mariners:

Seattle Mariners

Offseason needs: middle-of-the-order bat, SP, lineup depth

Biggest moves pre-lockout: Signed LHP Robbie Ray; traded for 2B Adam Frazier

First move they should make post-lockout: Sign DH Nelson Cruz to one-year, $12 million deal

The Mariners could use a veteran middle-of-the-order impact bat, so how about a reunion with Nelson Cruz in what could be his final season? Cruz, 41, hit 32 homers, drove in 86 runs and posted a 130 OPS+ and was worth 2.5 WAR last year. His leadership and mentorship would help expedite the development of the Mariners’ good young hitters at the major-league level and in their system.

I know we've discussed this before, the Mariners haven't been connected to Cruz, and he would clog up the DH position but the fan in me would love this move.

The logical part of me could rip the idea of signing Cruz to pieces, but I would really love to see it.
I love Cruz but I am just unsure of the fit. I think DH is already gonna be taken by Lewis/Haniger most of the time. I'd prefer that money go to someone that can play in the OF

let..them write..good or bad.........

Ernest Hemingway

In a 1958 interview with The Paris Review, Hemingway explains his daily routine and work habits. When I am working on a book or a story I write every morning as soon after first light as possible. There is no one to disturb you and it is cool or cold and you come to your work and warm as you write.Feb 7, 201

however...if..you write...in...someone elses style.....that is all...you will ever get.....

so we explore the new....and different ways.to write and..express....trying for new...and exciting..ways to say......feel free...............write what please..
i suppose...what you do with it after...would..make....more...diference....some would say...file...put it on trial....or just wype it away

i pray and i say...go and play....feel free write what you please....even if i sneeze..or jeez....good day

i was once scorned by a teacher for not writing in the style he wanted.....he needed to look to someone else...for that...i write what i want
whatever comes out of me........i persive...that teacher...could teach..only ..thoughs...who would do his bidding only....a limited prospect..

that i reject...and eject....

Well I guess that seems fair to the owners? Not exactly smart considering there is going to be a huge chunk of these minor leaguers who will be very vocal at the next CBA negotiations.
agreeed.....whole harted...never offer....to..not pay....unless you are a non profit......the offer in re turn...will be spurned...

or go ahead...see who shows up.......i might be somewhere....getting paid.....and with good..excuses...no matter what...owners think...
you paying for them...to be there....no matter what they are...........

no pay to day...hence lock..out...but who would come anyway...no....mo sir...

The Daily Routines of 12 Famous Writers

The Daily Routines of 12 Famous Writers

ow many people die with their best work still inside them?

We often assume that great things are done by those who were blessed with natural talent, genius, and skill. But how many great things could have been done by people who never fully realized their potential? I think many of us, myself included, are capable of much more than we typically produce — our best work is often still hiding inside of us.

How can you pull that potential out of yourself and share it with the world?

Perhaps the best way is to develop better daily routines. When you look at the top performers in any field, you see something that goes much deeper than intelligence or skill. They possess an incredible willingness to do the work that needs to be done. They are masters of their daily routines.

As an example of what separates successful people from the rest of the pack, take a look at some of the daily routines of famous writers from past and present.

At the end of the article, I broke down some common themes that you can apply to your daily routines — regardless of your goals. To skip straight to those suggestions, click here.

E.B. White: “A writer who waits for ideal conditions under which to work will die without putting a word on paper.”

I never new this was the practice until I read this. It is a disgrace to me as well. I can't believe it is legal? It is immoral in my mind. Just pure greed at its worst.

Eh, it is a little more complicated in that. Minor league owners aren’t multi millionaires and in the southern leagues they live fine. In Tacoma they make good money but because the PCL is so spread out that is a cost of living ass kick. Still quite possibly the worst campaign to have players cross the line.

or the current owners can ..sell....any time they want.....for owners...with an exceptable...format and buisness plan...makes no diff to fans..
with the exception......of...there are no games being played....the fans would be happy if the owners ...only got 1/3..at the gate...

33pct...the team..66pct....

.....right now..48 pct...that is what...the owners...will...not budge..off of...the other issues....in some way...effect...this..

.its the real...issue..

now if...they agreed.to..take less...they would need....assurance....to that effect..from...players.....whatever number they agree upon..
and it would not be just for one agreement.....

but they wont budge so...
and players do not want...to work....for nothing..............no one should...
