Vince Young got a 6 and in 2007 he paid for every seat on a Southwest Airlines flight to avoid sitting near other passengers.

Well, I avoided most of the combine/speed talk and wonderlic score chatter.
As the board's rookie hater, it would all be negative from me anyway.
Plus, based on what we've seen, the fastest and smartest don't always do the best at the next level.
And sometimes, just being at "the next level" is the perfect ingredient for the slower and dumber to separate themselves from the rest.

Mcnabb got a 15, but we all know he's way more retarded than that.:pound:

18 fumbles!! :omg:

fumbled on 1.8% of his NCAA touches....I'd bet it isn't a problem at the pro level if I had to.

Won't be the first 'fumble prone' college guy to not have that problem as a pro

Unless you pick ahead of my in D2, than yes, he fumbles so much don't take that guy

Remember when this discussion came up last year with Miles Sanders being the focus of everyone's (fumble) worries? Did it scare you away? If so are you more likely to turn a blind eye toward JT?

Half of Sanders fumbles came on special teams fielding the ball not really the same thing. Most of Taylors fumbles are running without securing the ball.

Taylor had 968 touches in his college career through 41 games.
That averages to 23.4 touches per game.
For reference, there was only 1 NFL player that averaged more than 23.4 touches per game last season.
My point is, I doubt that Taylor gets those kind of numbers in the NFL.

Maybe because I'm picking on him, the 1.8% is "hidden" by those touches.
He had a 43% chance of fumbling each game.

Maybe this isn't fair? Some of the greats had some surprising fumble stats.
Tony Dorsett, Eric Dickerson and Franco Harris fumbled in 52% of their games.
Jim Brown 48% of games.
Walter Payton 45% of games.
Marcus Allen fumbled in only 29% of his games.
Emmitt Smith 27%

The game is different now. Teams have no tolerance for those kind of mistakes.

Definitely the NFL didn't even start tracking the stat until 1978 plus dirty play was considered a good thing back then

Oh and most sites don't track college fumbles or drops still its always a pain in the ass trying to find those numbers

Much better way to make the point I was trying to. Taylor led all college RBs in touches in 2018 and led the Big10 all three seasons in madison.

Zero chance in hell he gets that many touches/game in NFL

Its not that unrealistic in the last 4 seasons there have been 4 rookie RBs that finished as a top 5 RB(Zeke RB2, Hunt RB4, Kamara RB3, and Barkley RB1) as rookies.

Definitely not saying he can't score a ton of fantasy pts on the right team/right situation, but Zeke didn't even have over 23 touches per game last year (with expanded passing game work), so I'd imagine the odds that a RB that isn't considered as good of a prospect won't be fed the same.

Especially since there hasn't been much receiving work for RBs out of Wisconsin. Not saying he can't catch, but hard to project him getting more than around 230-250 rushes plus 20-30 catches, which puts him around 15-18 touches per game.

Less touches should mean less fumbles?

Since it was usage- amount of touches- not necessarily production:

'18 Barkley averaged 22 touches a game
'17 Kamara 12.5
'17 Hunt 20.3
'16 Zeke 22.5

Possible yes, but pretty exceptional seasons, and even they didn't average 23 per game
