At a 1:15 AM Sunday morning gathering Bill Belichick was asked:

Bill, would you like to have Tom Brady back for next year?

"Very much. If he wants to come back, I'd like him to be here."

When asked again to clarify today Monday 1/6/2020......

"I've already made it clear that I would like to have Tom back next year. That's all I have to say on the subject."

Predictions on CBS Sports:

Free agents expected to sign with the Patriots:

WR - AJ Green
TE - Hunter Henry
CB - Chris Harris
QB - Tom Brady

Would be nice but don't see it happening

Hey Shoeshine..................

Do you follow all of these guys on Twitter? I don't know how, nor do I care to know how to do all of that Twitter, Instagram or other stuff. I spend at least a half hour a day unsubscribing from garbage from companies that buy email addresses from companies that I purchased stuff from.

Thank God that Trump signed that new Robo Law.

I only follow Reiss, Schefter, and Breer, but others like Rapoport, Curran, Howe, etc. will also pop up on my feed because those guys follow them. Twitter works really well as a news feed, you just have to avoid clicking on the responses because it’s pretty much a fucking human cesspool otherwise.

At least until they don't.
Still practice squad...
Camp bodies. They usually re-sign the majority of guys that end the season on the PS to the next year’s roster. Can’t really recall one that ever eventually became a big contributor

Joe Judge snipes the Giants HC job before McD can even interview.

And Matt Rhule got the Panthers gig.

So it’s Browns or another year here for Josh.

Report: Offseason surgery 'hasn't been ruled out' for Julian Edelman

Julian Edelman once again proved his toughness.

The New England Patriots wide receiver hauled in 100 catches for 1,117 yards and six touchdowns in 2019. He was the Patriots’ only reliable wide receiver and he did it through crushing injuries. The injuries he dealt with were severe enough to sideline other NFL players, according to The Athletic’s Jeff Howe.

Here’s the update from Howe:

Edelman dealt with an assortment of injuries, including a separated AC joint in his shoulder, a knee issue and rib injury that were described as serious enough that they would have ended some other players’ seasons. Offseason surgery hasn’t been ruled out. Despite beginning to accumulate those injuries in Week 3, Edelman had 100 catches for a career-high 1,117 yards and six touchdowns. He has a $7.2 million cap hit in 2020.

NESN is reporting that Julian Edelman will have surgery on his left shoulder to repair the ACL and then will have surgery on his left knee. He's 33 and the surgeries will take place about two weeks apart. Recovery and rehab will be difficult because his mobility and upper body movement will be restricted.

I wonder if he'll make a movie about these two.

Yeah, read that yesterday.
Stupid. Booze may have been involved.
I think it seems worthy of ignoring considering that most stories involving athletes and cops are either drugs or battery (domestic or otherwise) related. I'd say drunk guy jumping on car seems pretty minor.

It’s only newsworthy because of the possibility of Jules spending more time in the Goodell Penalty Box

Not a peep that I’ve heard.

Holding out for a smoking gun? Or waiting for a Friday of Pro Bowl week inconsequential news dump?
