Shurmur is not that way. He will call his deep shots but a big portion of his playcalling is the short to intermediate passes and giving a QB some easy reads.

Speaking of Shurmur's offsense, With mainly 3 by 1 sets and the RB out of the backfield, no more chips, the LT will have to be a stud and stand up on his own.

What I am gathering is that Denzel Mims is really knocking on the door right now with the other top 3 WR's in this draft. Laviska Shenault is the WR really sliding right now because of the injury concerns. Highest bust potential among the top 10 WR in this draft.

Why do I have this wild thought the Raiders will surprise us with Denzel Mims at #12???

Laviska in the 3rd is a no brainer IMO. The upside far outweighs the draft pick. However the best ability is availablity.

Here is how I would explain my reaction to Laviska

Round 1- Remote busted over the TV screen out of anger
Round 2- A celebration beer... Not jumping out of my seat, but a little celebration beer and a handful of doritos. I can dig it. I am ok with it. There is a lot of upside there.
Round 3- Jump up out of my seat. Dorito bowl goes flying! Depending on how Round 3 went I am downing two beers quickly!

OG Danny Pinter, Ball State is another one to keep an eye on later on in the draft.

Pinter and Darnell Mooney are going to be good value picks at some point of this draft. Guys similar to players who will be picked way ahead of them.

I don’t want to move up for Andrew Thomas, and then after that I don’t really have anyone that I think we might take there that I wouldn’t like. I definitely have my heart set on one of those wide receivers I have been talking about. But I can’t really come up with somebody at 15 that I wouldn’t consider a reach that I would be unhappy with.

Now watch will take somebody I have nowhere near the 15th overall pick

I am really convinced that CJ Henderson will go in the top 13. And I think he is a prime candidate for someone to come up and grab. Falcons, Cowboys, Eagles. Or a team like the raiders or 49ers will stay where they are and select him

My thought is that they could use a Wr and a CB. And if CJ is there, the drop to the 3rd CB is greater than, let’s say, from the 4th to 5th WR.

Sounds like the Jags really like Henderson so not sure he gets past them at 9. Also sounds like the Falcons really want to trade up for Kinlaw. The 49ers and Falcons both want him.

Hard to tell what is the truth anymore this close to the draft. Yesterday Miami didn’t like Herbert now today they will apparently draft him over Tua. Tomorrow someone will say they won’t pass on Jordan Love while someone else will say Jacob Eason in rd 2 is their man.
