Fake News. Wiggy has assured us that the Warriors will do nothing and like it.

He is far more credible than Lacob.

Honestly after what Lacob's done in the last 12 months, he is slander proof to me.

1) Opened a brand new, privately funded arena.
2) Pandemic hits, hurting the bottom line at probably the worst time.
3) Hasn't laid off a single employee
4) Offered to pay 30M to allow fans back in the arena by doing daily Covid testing.
5) Committed to paying a huge tax bill (again running at a negative for the year) just to compete AFTER the injury to a major star of the team.

Considering I became a fan during the Cohan era of ownership, this is a stark contrast.

He's right, but he's also wrong. Those organizations kept things quiet until all parties were on the same page. It's like when Magic popped off on tv with his "wink, wink" comment re: Paul George. The Lakers interest in PG was the worst kept secret in the league...but you can't say anything publicly.

It's like speeding on the freeway. Everybody does it, but if you get caught...you're getting a ticket.

From what's being said, he has several options. My I'm betting that he does a short term deal. Either a 2 years with player option after 1. Or a 3 year with player option after 2. In 2 years he's eligible for the Supermax.

did they give up anything or just to take on the salary?

Protected 1st round pick, top 20 protected for next season. If that is not conveyed it turns into two 2nd round picks.

He'll likely do what KD did when he signed with the Warriors, keep extending on 1+1 until he was supermax eligible. Except KD hated the Warriors so much he decided to leave first, lol.

if they dealt OBJ for a 4th round pick and a nickle corner id be thrilled
Damn to think what could have been.......while I didn't hate the deal when made I definitely did not love it like some did. If they really wanted a WR, could have just taken DK Metcalf with the pick used on OBJ or instead of Greedy. and the guy not a start but he's decent...Peppers a better option than Sendejo.

Laker fans better hope Lebron doesn't step on his toes and start screaming him out and talking shit about him like Draymond
