All Star race with the #'s set back.
Is just like we had done with our Limited late Model back in the day.

Wow! McDowell just turns Bubba into outside wall.
He has been driving kinda reckless from the start.
Back in the day it was always a big no-no to turn a car, driver side into the wall.

Kevin Harvick has said getting right reared is like gloves off in hockey. It won't go over well for McDowell.

Also the choose cone. I'm a big fan of that. Too many tracks where restarting on the inside is a huge disadvantage, and I'm not a fan of restarting in 4th being an advantage to restarting third. At the very least, I'd like to see it where whatever lane the leader picks is where the odd numbered positions restart.

He is a bit frustrated. No luck at all in the 1st stage.
Spotter seems to be on it though.

I'm sure it wasn't intentional, but that's more of a reason to fight than the Gragson-Burton incident over the weekend where Gragson simply got loose and washed up into Burton. I can understand Burton being frustrated, but that was a case where a discussion would have went farther than putting your hands on somebody, and I'm on record of saying Noah Gragson is a douche.

We didnt have that on the dirt tracks. Just leader chose which side.
When I spotted for the super 4's (pavement) they had the cone rule, which was interesting.

My local dirt track has had a choose cone since I was a little kid. Makes it interesting.

But, if we're gonna have double file restarts in NASCAR, third place needs to have an advantage over 4th if there's no cone.

McDowell has never been accused of being the best wheel man on the track, and if Kyle Busch is capable of making a misjudgement, McDowell definitely is. I think he was trying to cut under Bubba and rough him up, I don't think he meant to hook him in the wall though.

There's no way NASCAR can justify not keeping the All Star race at Bristol. Charlotte is one of the better mile and a half tracks, but it can't compete with Bristol when NASCAR gets the rule package for it right.

They've nailed the short track package this year. The Bristol race earlier this year was the best Bristol race in a long time.
