I thought jones won in the first ot and then Gordon should’ve won in the second ot. Get rid of the scoring and just have the judges pick who they think won

Jones should have won it the 1st OT.

Also, they should score in .1’s.

Aaron Gordon robbed again, disappointing. Derrick Jones Jr was great too but I think AG was better from start to finish and jumping over a giant should be an easy 50.

Leading up to it, he did the same dunk 3 times.

I would disagree with that, but some were similar.

I believe he leaped Chance The Rapper 3x.
The whole scoring system is ridiculous.
A 10 is a perfect score. Many of the dunks were nice, but far from perfect.

Now that I have composed myself, some thoughts on All Star Saturday Night;

-The League did what I was hoping and praying they'd do by renaming the All Star MVP in honor of Kobe Bryant. YES!!! It just fits so perfectly. Teared up just a bit at the announcement.

-The Skills Competition has actually become a fun watch by making it head to head and adding big men. That event use to be trash.

-I actually liked the long ball shots added to the 3 point contest. Hope it sticks. We're long past the numbers meaning anything record wise since they added all money ball racks so why not add some more fun to it. The contest itself got fun too after some cold shooting to start.

-Dame Dolla is better than half the rappers currently on the charts. Bit of advice though, he needs to work on his stage presence. He looked like he was half asleep. Move around just a bit more.

-Best dunk contest since Gordon/Lavine and one of the best of all time. DJJ and Gordon had some tremendous dunks. Even Pat "I can't say your name but Imma try*" Connaughton's would have won like half the dunk contests in years past. This was a stacked field.

*seriously, fuck off DJ Khaled

-Gordon got robbed though. At the very least, it should have been a tie. According to this tweet from Ramona Shelburne, the judges wanted it to be a tie but something happened. Candace Parker indicated on Insta that production forced them into a decision. They do need to go back to a decimal point system though. I agree with everyone's that mentioned that.

-Anybody watch the Roast of the Inside crew afterwards? Tiffany Haddish was dreadful, lol. A lot of them were far weaker than I'd thought they'd be. Should have just had Jeff Ross do the whole thing

Gotta give a little love to Dwight here too. He was outmatched tonight but this dunk was way better than it was given credit for. Holding a pose like that at his size and still have the dunk look smooth takes more skill than a fucking 41 score. At least a 45.

Wade threw his dude a bone

And then we had two people who had no business being judges

Common and Candace Parker claimed after the event they meant for it to be a tie. Watch Wade and the other judges in this video. Wade is taking off his headset and looking to scramble before the scores are revealed like he knows something is about to go down. Then every judge sees what happened and glances at Wade. Wade did that shit on purpose, lol. If votes a 10, the final score is a 48 and its a tie. I'm laughing but at the same time, that's dirty.
