I don’t think much changes with our outcomes in the next 2-3 years. I admit, I have absolutely changed my tune this season and agree we have to either wait it out until JvR, Jake and G are no longer drags (relative to their cost), or some sort of pixie dust falls our way and teams will take them off of our hands.

I think there's enough talent and enough picks/prospects to turn it around. I just don't trust Fletcher to do it. That's what worries me. Either make trades that make the NHL team better, or blow it all apart. Guys everyone likes, Couturier/Provorov/Farabee, included. Guys that can bring back high end draft picks and prospects like Richards and Carter did. And do the rebuild right. Don't half ass it and trade young guys with potential for mediocre draft picks or players because you don't like how they're performing today.

Absolutely. Maybe that 1st round pick will get high enough to get a difference maker. Unfortunately I think they say this is a fairly weak draft, but really with covid knocking out so much, who really knows?

We cant play team defense unless Gee and Jake and JVR are gone. They know only one type of game and that's offense and they aren't even good at that anymore.

I hate to say it, but it's time to bring up as many youngsters as possible to give them a look and also essentially tank the remainder of the season so that we're top 8 in the lottery instead of 15th, which is terrible. Then, we could potentially have a 12.3% chance or better of a top two overall pick.
