Probably not entirely, example, SAT Tiger didn't do much and I don't recall him getting as much air time as he did on SUN when he had his nice streak of good play.

I have a feeling Tiger and Phil are not going to play the Sr Tour much....I think Phil turns 50 next June if I'm not mistaken.

Phil is still one of the longest drivers on tour but is almost last in driving accuracy. Both his iron play and putting have diminished over the past couple of years. Tiger is seven years younger but playing after multiple back surgeries. Each guy might surprise with another win at The Masters but I kind of doubt it.

Once Woodland made par on 17...he had a 2 shot lead going to the 72nd tee box....If Koepka had somehow been able to post his birdie (hypothetical) on 18 before Woodland got to the tee on 18 so he would now know his lead was 1 instead of 2, maybe he changes his strategy, but there was no way to do that....the final group was much closer to them, in fact they probably saw Kopeka hole out.

Woodland was playing 18 for a 5...whether he had a one shot or two shot lead, I'm not sure if that changed his strategy.

Woodland did out play him...no question.

GW absolutely still hits 6 iron 6 iron 9 iron with a 1 shot lead. You could see down the stretch he was trying to not hit it left off the tee. And you saw how good and confident he was with his short game. And all he needs is par on 18 par 5 to win. If it’s a par 4 with a one shot lead then yeah got to hit 3 wood or driver.

I don't know if Phil or Tiger have ever really been straight drivers even in their primes...but both were so good at getting out of jail that it didn't seem to hurt their performance when they were younger. Now, both are slipping in that area. That par save is turning into a bogey more times than not these days.

The reason I don't think either will play the Sr tour much if at all is they have all the money they could want. Jack never really cared that much about the Sr tour, but to support it and Arnie he played it for a while. As far as Phil and Tiger in the majors...yeah, the Masters and maybe the British when it's not at Carnoustie...lol. I don't see either winning the PGA or USO....Phil's best chance at the grand slam was this yr.

Good playing...by my standards.

Pressure bursts pipes the saying goes...I just played in a 28 man tourney myself and played terrible. 54 hole tourney and I shot 92,92 the 1st two days and was 12th overall and in the 3rd flight for the final day which thank God was rained out. (this was after playing in the top flight LY)….I sucked this yr...it's golf.

By mine as well; sometimes its hard to make yourself believe you can go really low and your brain tells you to just hang on. If that happens it usually has bad results; for me at least.

I'm not surprised, we had to watch Tiger nonstop as he tried to break par.

Yeah. Its awful. I don't mind seeing his shots because I love the big pouty lip that comes out when he's not doing well. What I don't want to see is Woods walking down the fairway or eating his banana or picking his nose. And I certainly don't need to see highlights of him winning the U.S. Open 10 years ago.

He did exactly what I would have done yet Patrick Reed got roasted for doing it at Doral a few years back

When I've playing my best I'll have 2 to 3 rounds where I'm tracking towards breaking 80...once I start thinking about the freakin scorecard, my game goes off the rails. I've got at least 3 rounds already this yr with a score under in the 30s for 9 holes and did not break 80.

The mental hurdle for scoring barriers is very tall!

It is. But once you do it it won’t be so difficult. I remember I had a tough time breaking 90 a long long time ago but when I finally did it was an 84. After that I did it regularly

I think we all fight looking at the score card. Truth is once you do it can change things. Focus should remain hole by hole trying to make par or birdie. Tough to do though and we are all human.

I shot 79 in a tournament no less about 11 yrs ago...that was my 1st time breaking 80 and since then I have about 12-15 or so rounds in the 70s since then...career low 77.

I think I shot 78 last year once.

If you don't play much it will be tough to keep a single digit handicap. But you know what they say, "Golf is like sex; you don't have to be good at it to enjoy it."
I have a friend, however, who plays only on Sunday, never practices, and hits a bucket of balls before his Sunday round and I've been with him when he shot 63 and 64 and he never goes above 73. Its sickening.

Agree 99%...as noted I will still post a few rounds in the 90s, I'm sure I would still play, but I don't think I would enjoy it nearly as much if I were still struggling to break 100 .

Yep. I did it just a couple of weeks ago. Got the chip shot shanks and couldn't get rid of them. But, yeah, if I was regularly over 100 I would not play.

I prefer to call it the 'social media' atmosphere. Everybody wants a platform nowadays to express themseves....no matter how ridiculous it is. I'm in full agreement to tossing these guys out.....I don't want every tournament to turn into the Waste Management out in Ariz.

You realize that he just won the Masters again, right ? I thought they should have let it go after he bogied 4 out of his 1st 6 holes.. and they sort of did because by that time the leaders had started teeing off. Then he went on a tear and I don't think they even showed much of that due to the fact the leaders were on the course.

But they're going continue to televise the most popular golfer on the planet (by a long shot) until he proves that he doesn't have it anymore and probably a lot longer than that. So you should probably try to get over it.

No. He parred 17 and stayed right at 7 under solidly in 3rd place. Never saw him prior to that.

He was never in it especially after bogeying #2 to fall 5 back. There was no reason to show him, but why do you care about Chez Reavie's camera time anyway ? Are you related to him ?
