2019 Texas Rangers Spring Training Thread

Minor to open the season. Not really a surprise.

I’d definitely call that a minor development.

Looking forward to see how Woody handles the club. Lot of things of interest like the OF. Tocci has had a nice spring pushing DDJ and Willie is a question needing an answer. DH maybe? And what about White.

I’m grateful that we still have a board and people still post on it.

I know my main role is scapegoat and comic relief, but I do enjoy stuff that the diehards post, like the minor league updates etc.

Keep fighting the good fight fellas. If this board can survive until 2020 (new stadium), the team will start getting better ( it fugging better), and we should be good to go again.

Shelby Miller looked good for 2 2/3 but Sadzeck managed to come in and make it all for not 4-4

Re Lynn. Not worried about him blocking guys this year or next. Let the best 5 start year 3 but we can use extra pitching

Which one of these 5 should Lynn start in front of next year

Palumbo, Hearn, Burke, Hernandez or Mendez. There are also some other guys who should be ready. I didn't even bring them up because these 5 are probably the best of the ones who should be ready in a year.

Who should Lynn take valuable innings from in 2020?

Palumbo, Hearn, Burke, Hernandez or Mendez. There are also some other guys who should be ready. I didn't even bring them up because these 5 are probably the best of the ones who should be ready in a year.

Hard to predict which one but not really the point. A wise man once said you need 10 starters ready for the season....


But for fun... would think he is more likely to be ahead of Hernandez, who they hope to be a starter but is not a given or Mendez, who needs to improve to be Ben considered.

Have we honestly seen enough of Lynn to date to make a call at this time? Yes he has not looked very good. True, but it is early and stranger things have happened.
