I thought since so many were wanting to put this offseason behind them and get on with Spring Training that I would go ahead and start a Spring Training thread. What better way to start than with T. R. Sullivan's guide to the Rangers Spring Training.

This thread seems to be a bit early gents. I’m guessing some people are just getting over anxious. We don’t have the first preseason game on tv until almost March.

I don’t watch until opening day tho.

Looking forward to (probably) better managing and coaching this season tho.

Feb. is the beginning of a new season. We should start having lots to discuss with catchers/pitchers starting Tue. and down hill from there. Hope to see the board come to life again.

The young guys, both here and scattered through the minor league system. Hopefully, Maz and Gallo can step it up and IKF can build on a very solid season. Some of the younger guys in the pen will be fun to watch as well. Maybe the two teams in North Carolina can provide us with some excitement and something to look forward to. It will be interesting to see how far Palumbo advances this year.

There probably won't be a whole lot to trade at the deadline this year.

I don't know what to expect as far as Calhoun getting playing time up here.

My favorite player in the system right now is Hans Crouse, so I will be watching his results closely.

Coaching style/culture change and player development. Less strikeouts. Beating the shift

2 is better than one for now. We may yet see some FA movement and maybe a trade. Just likely not the Rangers with anything huge

Bennie there is no end to the interest in this team. Getting to know them and development of young guys coming up is exciting to me. Keeping an eye on Gallo and Odor to get their batting avg up a little can brighten this club up. Also, we have a new 3rd baseman with big shoes to fill. And pitching. No idea where they will take us so all in all it looks to be fun.

This will be a tough year tho no doubt.

Pretty much everyone is looking ahead to 2020 and the new stadium.

Btw, I can’t describe how pissed I am that we’re putting fucking turf on the new stadium.

See that Frank Robinson passed away. Great talent. Tough to win the MVP but to win it in both leagues is really something else.

Yes he was. I feel very fortunate to have seen so many of the great players from the past.
Me also. Seemed to be so many great ones. Certainly Frank was.
