I read an article that said most NBA franchises are not making any money. That would be my first clue that they are overvalued, besides the fact that they are way more expensive than they use to be. Kinda like when Tesla went to 365 a share. That seems to really upset you?

lol like anyone cares about a shitty series 7 license

Not making any money can be very deceptive.
Smart people can be very creative with salaries, expenses, etc.

What is their opinion lol

I said most buy these as toys and could care less about the price. Doesn't make them good purchases or not overvalued purchases

Uh, no. This isn't a $2 million dollar racehorse. When a guy puts billions into a franchise, he's looking at the revenue stream and future appreciation.

But maybe they're wrong, and you know more than they do. Could be!

True, For all i know they get some sort of tax benefit or write off from owning a team. Wouldn't surprise me knowing how the tax laws favor the super rich.

It's not a good one, because we are saying the same thing...franchise value reflects revenue. Also, revenue has everything to do with market size.

My point was simply to push back on Wiggy for insisting the Ws never would pay the tax required to keep KD and the rest together. They would have.

It’s a tremendous point, sure all owners are billionaires and can be financially irresponsible if they choose to but they pretty much don’t. The post Kobe Lakers could have gone throwing out max contracts left and right but the penalties are too high for doing so and they don’t. Hard to say with the Warriors because they knew KD was gone and could say what they wanted.

Warning to the board: take investment advice from this knucklehead at your own risk. This post says it all LOL

As I said above, unprovable, but I'm quite sure of it based on their own words and the amount of money they have, as evidenced by the valuation of NBA franchises and the revenue the Ws bring in now with the new arena (it's not just for basketball, it's now the premier concert venue in the Bay Area)

Not all owners paid billions tho. Micky Arison bought the heat for 400 million. Dan Gilbert bought the Cavs for 375 million...Now some people are paying billions, and that might be overpriced.

In the long run, no owner cashes out without a huge profit. They'll be fine.

For the first time since 2016, we have a legit go to option at the end of games

But but but Curry isn't clutch!! These numbers must be fake news.
Outside of maybe Dame and healthy KD, he's the guy I'd pick to give the ball to in the closing moment.

People are underestimating your Dubs.

Yeah, they lost Durant and Russell is a downgrade from Klay.

But, we bout to get the old Chef Curry back.

Dude will be in video game mode all year.

No. Who is going to take over on that team when things get tight?
There are a few guys that would be ecstatic to do so.

* See Mitchell, Kuz.

But, we have seen where that hero ball path has led those two when they are given unlimited shots.

No bueno.

So, Gotta be Kemba.

Kemba is a wonderful player.

But, can you win with him as your best player?

2nd best?

Hell yeah.

Best? Nah.

Still, They better medal.
