I said at the time, that my opinion was that I wouldn’t be surprised if Gilbert wanted James to leave vs continue on being whatever he agreed to.
He already had his championship.

Nah, PER is good for analyzing offensive ability. Doesn't measure much as far as defense (as few stats do).

But Gilbert knows Griff is not a keep at all costs GM.

I don't think that's the case but wouldn't shock me at all. As much as people say Lebron didn't like him, I'm pretty sure the feeling was mutual.
