1) "cavs had 1.75 chance to win the lottery" - in fact they had about a 22% chance with 2 picks
2) "Gilbert didn't even attend that lottery" - Gilbert was there.

I never said Cavs had 1.7%, I said pick that moved up had 1.7%.

And you still dont get it, the extra 20% chance isnt added to the 1.7%. Its its own entity, so it had nothing to do with the Cavs moving up.

Perhaps I didn't explain the cause/effect thing clearly enough?

If I make a mistake and am called out on it, I'll do something nuts and just say I made a mistake. Hell, I've done so in discussions that were about an opinion and was not even factually incorrect.

Some don't have that in them. It's no biggie. Often amusing the lengths and deflection they will go to just to avoid saying, "my bad".

I can grasp it just fine. You saw something you thought would prove a point you were trying to make. You posted it even though the info was factually incorrect. You don't want to simply say you erred in posting something that was factually incorrect.
