it just cracks me up--- patting riley on the back for giving up a bunch of assets to get a free agent (that is on his 4th team in 5 years because hes an asshole) that you couldve got for nothing if not for Rileys own incompetence signing guys to awful contracts.

un fucking real. think of the logic stretch to try and sell that.

well, he fucked up, but at least he got out of his fuck up by only giving up a good young 3 and D player with a great contract and a future first and eating some shitbags worthless contract!!!

unreal.

So again, from your standpoint in your previous post. We just gave up Richardson and a 1st round pick - for Jimmy Butler who's actually a multi-time All star.

@ducky Dude, the Twolves last won a playoff series when D-Wade was a rookie. Holy fuck. How are you talking shit right now?

I'm not talking shit. I'm just calling it as I see it. Riley has been a disaster. He got lucky when Lebron and Wade decided to play GM one offseason. And even then Riley screwed that up enough that Miami wasn't deep enough to win more than 2 championships and then screwed it up enough where Lebron looked around and left deciding he had a better future in Cleveland than Miami.

So 3 years gets your number retired, that sends quite the message.
itll make Durant warm and fuzzy inside thinking about having his number retired- when he is sitting out all next season rehabbing his torn achilees that the idiot doctors conned him into playing saying he couldnt make it worse.

big surprise he left.

oh sure- you cant make it worse, the doctors assured us. HA- what a bunch of scumbags. Just awful what htey did to him

for a guy who will be 30 and has miles on him like hes 35 and is on his 4th team in 5 years

how many great NBA players do you know that played for 4 teams in 5 years? Guy always wears out his welcome because he is an ass clown. The Sixers were thrilled to get Richardson and use some of the savings on Horford.

So you're basically blind then.

Go read Wiggy's rants about how Cleveland lured Lebron back; basically accrued younger players by being consistently in the lottery, while Riley wasn't ready to hand the keys to the franchise to Lebron. And Miami did just fine during the Big 3 era. It's hard to really add pieces to a team that's built around 3 max contracts. Everyone knew why Lebron went back to Cleveland - cement his legacy in winning a title in Cleveland. Lebron went through the same shit that Durant went through to a lesser extent - Lebron couldn't win a title in Cleveland as opposed to Durant had to go to the Warriors to win a title. Heat fans knew that Lebron would leave at one point, similar to how Warriors fans knew Durant would leave.

You should probably focus on your joke of a franchise before commenting on Miami.

the heat have traded their 2021 pick that is totally unprotected. They have traded their 2023 pick...the next time they can trade a first rounder is 2025

both this year AND next year you have Dion Waiters, J.Johnson, and likely Kelly Olnyk at a combined 40 million dollars......those 3 schmucks for this season and next season for over a quarter of your cap space.

yesterday you said you were looking forward ot the 2021 free agent class, when Jimmy Butler will be going into his age 32 season.

Riley has went from folly to folly making terrible moves that hamstring him into the future every single time.

you are actually celebrating giving up a first rounder, josh richardson, and having to take Meyers Leonard for the right just to get a guy who you could have gotten for free if Riley had any kind of clue what he was doing.

it just boggles my mind. All of this for at best a 6th seed and a first round ass whooping. unreal.

Waiters contract is fine. 12 or 13 million for a starting sg is fine. Only an issue because it is the heat.

The other 2 are player options. I would bet one of them opt out....but im sure you'll say impossible for Miami to trade any of these guys just like you said with tj and Hassan

So the Sixers were thrilled in adding a great player in Horford while also getting a really solid player in Richardson? Shocking. Thanks for that brilliant analysis. It's amazing you don't get paid for this.

Hoping you're right, bro...

still a tad nervous, though...

It's pretty clear he wants to go back home, and I imagine that he grew up dreaming about becoming a Lakers legend one day. With the Lakers creating another max cap space and on course to be the next super team, it seems like an easy choice.

Apparently this is the Lakers reddit insider who's usually right. Take it with a grain of salt of course...
