FWIW, there's a guy on reddit and Twitter that claims to be an insider and has high confidence he signs with LA. He called Horford opting out and signing with Philly well before Horford even opting out, called the Lakers being able to get a meeting with Kawhi, called the moves made to get the cap room for him, and some other stuff as well. He may or may not be right on Kawhi, but he does seem to have some inside info from somewhere.

Basically, he seems to think it gets done so long as Lakers FO can convince Kawhi they aren't a total shitshow, which is why Kawhi has requested to talk to Jeanie and Magic

The Timberwolves really need a point guard now. Hopefully they're willing to take Dragic.

There’s no real downside to this for the Warriors. they were essentially capped out with no way of getting better. They’re taking a risk on DLo but the alternative would be only being able to add talent for the next few years through the MLE and vet mins.

At worst is there is a cohesion problem, they can move someone later. At the very least though Steph, DLo and Dray should help compete for a playoff spot. That’s big for the first year in a new arena.

I think they’ll do more then compete for a playoff spot, and Klay should be back at some point.

If they get Kawhi none of it matters bc they are maxed out. If they dont get him they are fucked.

Green will probably follow Kawhi so he is off the market. You have to grab basically lower tier starters or bench players. Kawhi might make or break this Lakers team. I mean AD and Lebron are still a great duo aling with Kuz but damn. Beverly should be a target if they dont get Kawhi though.

But then again the Clippers haven't done anything either...

Clip, Lakers and even Raptors are holding onto their balls. The Raptors most likely dont get Green back too if Kawhi leaves.

The Clips have no max guys to go after. They are in la-la land from competing deep into the playoffs or borderline loterry-playoff team.

The only bit of hope I have is that Kawhi won't have stars to pair up with on the Clippers or Raptors. It's really all up to what he wants right now.
