The Spurs havent drafted a good foreign player in the first round for a while despite the common belief.
Heck, they only drafted 2 of them in the last 11 drafts prior to tonight.
The last really good homerun pick was Tiago Splitter in 2007.
But, the media always makes the same comment about the Spurs drafting another foreign player.
They have had much better stateside drafts with quality picks like Kawhi Leonard, George Hill, Dejounte Murray, Derrick White, and Kyle Anderson in the last 10 years or so.
