He was told that the only way he would be traded is for a superstar and is wanted as a player, so you're wrong

According to Brad Turner of the Los Angeles Times, the Lakers have offered New Orleans Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma, Rajon Rondo, Michael Beasley, Lance Stephenson and two future first-round picks for Davis and Solomon Hill, who is under contract for $12.4 million next season.

So what part was I wrong about?

I can't wait to see Bill Simmons quit sports talk.

“If Cleveland wins the lottery and gets Zion, I’m quitting sports,” Simmons told Ringer NBA writer Kevin O’Connor on ‘The Bill Simmons Podcast.’ “I’m just done. I’m out. The Ringer turns into a pop culture site, you’re going to have to look for a new job. I’m done. If Cleveland wins the f—ing lottery again, I’m done. I’m done with all professional sports, I’m out.”

“I think, Zion in Cleveland…” O’Connor began.

“They do not deserve Zion!” Simmons continued.

Lets look at Nick Gilbert's history, this kid is a lucky as fuck.

He represented the Cavs at the lottery in 2011, 2013, (in 2014 he wasn't there but they got the #1 and Dan Gilbert wore Nick’s bow tie as a handkerchief in his suit jacket to keep the luck and good fortune alive, which proved to be true.)

Nick Gilbert's lottery history
2011 - 1st overall - 8th worst record
2012 - 4th overall - 4th worst record
2013 - 1st overall - 3rd worst record
2014- 1st overall - 9th worst record (Gilbert wore his son's tie as a good luck charm)
2018 - 8th overall - 8th best odds

That would be the exception I was talking about. Anthony Davis for Ball and Kuzma would be one hell of a deal for the Lakers, BUT I think the Pelicans can and will do better

A crazy scenario is if the Pelicans get the #1 pick. Not only would they get a potential future star in Zion but they get a nice return on a trade for AD.
If they jumped up to #2 and the Knicks got the #1, they could possibly have the #1 and #2 pick on the same team. Knicks trade Zion to the Pelicans. The Pelicans draft Morant or Barrett.
