Personally - I think the Lakers could use a really talented center first if they do sign Irving - Between Irving, LeBron and Lonzo Ball, they have that covered unless they have a really good shooting guard. Won't ever be another Kobe - the dude's work ethic was second to no one and his threshold for pain and still play was incredible. I remember one night - Phil Jackson said Kobe would hop around crutches and try to play if he would let him

I LOVE how it played out. Messes up all the Durant to Knicks narratives, the AD leaving narratives, the Lakers got some help, the Cavs got fucked, so many things upended.

Sometimes those 4-8 picks end up being the best. GS entire big 3 was picked in that range and 1 in the 2nd round. Having a higher pick doesn't really guarantee much tbh...The draft is a crapshoot...Zion could be a huge bust for all we know...
