The Lakers also win for depth though, another factor to mix in.

I agree to a point.

The Lakers definitely win with "name depth". Meaning that they have names that everyone knows in guys like Boogie, Rondo, etc. but there are questions re: their age/health.

The Clips are pretty deep themselves.

Probably pretty close to even, but yeah, if the Lakers health/age works out, they probably have the edge.

I'd stay away from Korver too. 38 years old and his shooting percentages dipped last season; he could be washed too.

Yeah, his 3 point percentage fell all the way to 40% (which is better than anyone the Lakers had last year).

Personally, I'd like to see them leave that last spot open to see if they can maybe get someone off waivers around the all star break. They may be able to fill a need.

But for what he'd cost, I don't think that adding him would be a bad move if they decide they want another shooter.

.384 with Utah

I'd still prefer Faried.

Having a bit of drop off is understandable switching teams during the season. The 38% in Utah is still better than anyone on the Lakers.

I'd rather have Faried too as he fills an actual need while Korver would be more of a luxury item.

But if they decide they want another shooter, they can do a lot worse than Korver (and have).

I am with TJF12. Maybe the Pelicans will cut one of the big three and we could pick him up on waivers.

I still cant believe houston was able to just swap westbrook and paul without giving up much of anything else. Glade I am not an OKC fan.

I'm not all that surprised. Basically, they traded a bad contracts.

I guess you could say OKC "won" the trade because the bad contract they got has 1 less year on it.

What I find surprising is that it doesn't look like OKC had the foresight to realize that they weren't going to be able to trade CP3 and now are stuck with him for at least most of this coming season and possibly longer.

OKC has dropped the discussions of moving Paul for now. I suspect they'll use him later in the season when the right trade scenario presents itself. Meanwhile, Korver signs with the Bucks. I say the Lakers should keep that one spot open for a player that will be available later in the year.

Jordon Caroline signs the final roster spot. Good young stud from the summer league. Keep the youngsters comin' and leave the old players to retire.

Is that an actual roster spot contract or a just a camp invite contract? The Lakers reportedly signed Cacok and Aric Holman after summer league as well, which I assume are camp invites too?

The Lakers also just claimed Kostas Antetokounmpo off waivers from the Mavs as a two-way player, so now I'm not sure who loses their two-way slot (Zach Norvell or Devontae Cacok).

The Lakers have left open the last re maining roster spot for Iguodala just in case the Grizzlies buy-out his contract sometime in the near future.

Another story appeared on SEEBS that Magic effed-up the Lakers chances of obtaining Leonard by running his mouth again. The man can't seem to STHU.
